I've been leafing through your nice memorials on your Gerrish kin and find that we are probably kin with New England connections. The grandmother of Elizabeth (Gerrish) Hughes was the sister of my great-great-grandmother.
You can get my e-mail address from my profile if you'd like more information on the Massachusetts people.

Thanks so much for photos of James and Samuel McDowell. Gone but not forgotten by their Ohio family. May I use the photos for my genealogy?

Thank you for taking the time to photograph James' headstone and submitting it to Find a Grave. Every piece of info helps, and you've given me an excellent piece. Thanks again.

RE: Laytonville Cemetery
The sign says Laytonville Cemetery so I will just go with that. I think an obituary might have said it was an Odd Fellows cemetery. Thanks and I will be using your photos to add to Perry's parents memorials.

Laytonville Cemetery
Thanks so very much Doug for taking these photos. I thought Elvah Vivian was buried in the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Laytonville. Is this the same cemetery? I am so glad you took the photo of the larger stone. Is it okay if I add that larger marker to George & Elvah's memorial page or would you like to do that? I sure do appreciate you taking the time to do this for me. I do the same here for people wanting photos of their loved ones markers and enjoy doing it.
