Bio and Links
Bio Photo I became interested in our family history as a direct result of the avid interest of my mother and oldest sister. My life has become enriched by this desire to know where I came from. Thanks mom and sis!

I truly enjoy Find A Grave and the Find A Grave community. This growing group of volunteers is so willing to help other researchers!

I am very willing to add to and correct any of the memorials I manage and will do so as quickly as possible. Please help me out by making suggestions through each memorial's EDIT button. This makes it much easier to locate the correct memorial to make the recommended additions and corrections. It will also make certain that I see the request. Requests made through member page messages can get missed.

Thanks much!

FELLOW PHOTOGRAPHERS - the website below has some great tips on photographing headstones, it is a worthwhile read - check it out.

Briefly - some Do's and Don'ts
- do use reflected light to photograph hard to read stones (use a mirror or other reflective surface)
- do get down to eye level with the stone
- do fill the viewfinder with the stone
- do take some close ups and some photos showing the entire stone
- do use only distilled water and soft wood utensil (bamboo or popsicle stick) to gently remove lichens
- do use soft natural bristle brushes

- don't use chalk, flour, shaving cream, graphite, etc. to read stones (these can damage and/or stain the stone).
- don't do rubbings as the pressure can damage the stone and/or break the stone off
- don't use soaps, vinegar, club soda, bleach, or cleaning solutions of any kind
- don't use wire brushes, sharp metal objects, knives, nail files, etc.

Breens in Rock Co WI
Hi! Sorry, I tried to add a note when I uploaded the photo for Patrick and Margaret Breen. I do believe their stones are gone. However, I also did not find the stone that is pictured for Michael Breen, so I will go back within the next month or so to double check that there isn't anything there. There are a number of stones that are too worn to read, but nothing that was in the area that seemed like it would be Row 2. Thanks!

Almon Taggart
Thank you so much for searching for Almon Taggart's Headstone. Since his Obit states he was buried at Maple Hill Cemetery my guess is that he no longer has a Headstone or was buried with another family member. Thank you again for looking.

Hello Jenean, I received this following message which suggests you may have additional information on this person and cemetery. I need to confirm the date of birth for a friend who hopes to add a patriot to the DAR. I can't read the dates on the photograph. Can you help and do you have a copy of the page referenced in this cemetery book? Is the cemetery abandoned? I would truly appreciate your assistance. Thank you!

"I have several relatives in this cemetery, so I added some names from the cemetery book,The info on the memorial was taken from the cemetery book. And Jenean Hamilton (#46846305) has taken a special interest in this cemetery! She has photographed all available headstones and confirmed my memorials for accuracy. She seems to more in depth info concerning the individuals. Regards.....John"
