Any actual or perceived disrespect present in communications will be reported to FAG then declined or deleted, regardless of the reason for the contact.|
I place transcribed obituaries on memorials to validate the information given; which I will continue to do. If FAG would have thought this through, they wouldn't have rules against it.
ATTENTION: If I am treated the same respect you want to be treated, great! I treat people as they treat me. I am not intimidated by bullies and will not back down. Everybody in the U.S. has a right to their own opinion, just don't force it upon others.
If you have additions or corrections, it would be greatly appreciated if you would upload substantiating documentation to the memorial then make your request(s). Upon receipt of your request being honored feel free to delete the documents from the memorial. This policy should not be construed as combative as it's merely my attempt at accuracy. Additions/corrections without supporting documentation will be declined. Transcribed metarial will not be accepted. In the case of my family members, additions/corrections without documentation will be taken under advisement and further research but will not be implemented. It is inconceivable that this policy can be anything less than welcomed with open arms.
Please do not transcribe a document in an email and send it as part of your request. Corrections/additions using this method will not be honored. Upload the supporting document to the proper memorial then submit your request. The inability to comply with these instructions will be cause for ignoring your future requests for that particular person until compliance is achieved. Please remember the supporting documentation must be readable.
Please do not make requests for birth date changes on memorials where I have given a death age which came from the tombstone or other source unless you provide supporting documentation for the change. I too can do the math but doing so is only an assumption. I assume nothing because it is inaccurate and could propagate misinformation.
Also, if you discover one of my memorials for a living person, remember they placed the information in a public place (cemetery) ahead of my posting it here so don't give me grief for it.
I will not transfer blocks of memorials. This includes, but is not limited to blocks of surnames and whole cemeteries. If you are not blood related, don't ask.
SORRY . . .
I wish to apologize for my thinking the members who do not provide a contact link has something to hide. I was very wrong and am now painfully aware its purpose is to preserve one's sanity and maintain a healthy blood pressure!
Just a personal observation . . .
Some people post obituaries on the memorials of deceased individuals. Fine, I don't have the slightest issue with that. But some of them feel they can edit the obit to their liking. Obituaries are provided by that person's loved one(s) so what gives anybody the right to alter them? First of all obits are copyrighted by the newspaper they appeared in. Besides, they were published in a newspaper. A newspaper is a public notification of a birth, marriage, death, news article, etc. so, if you feel the need to hide something which appeared in an obituary, simply don't post it. I for one, am of a minority who strives for credibility and accuracy!

I differ with you on who has the copyright of an obituary. The copyright is owned by the person who wrote the obituary. It isn't the newspaper unless some staff member of the paper wrote it.

LOL...I'd already noticed and deleted ~ they're in the same lot so the right Jennie might not have a marker, but sure hope someone finds out for you!

It's always good to see your face, Dave...and see some of the path your family took along the tail end of New York!

Dave, Contrary to your message YOU are the one that is sadly misinformed. If you consult the Steuben County, NY property tax records you will find a small sliver of property to the south of St. Mary's Greek Catholic Cemetery that is listed as St. Peter and Paul Cemetery. It is Tax Map No. 336.06-01-052-000. http://22.214.171.124/IMO/quickstream.aspx?file=PDFMAPS/463803/336006.pdf
Simply because there is a sign in the ground does not mean the range of that sign goes on forever.
The recorded property records, dating to 1934, when my grandfather was among the founding trustees of Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery say it exists. Sign or no sign you need to recognize that!
At this point I will ask you again to make the changes which were requested.
Now, I have no recollection of contacting you in the past so I would welcome your showing me that I did.

You asked about age at death for her. To me it looks like 79. I posted the bottom portion on her memorial page

The Lehman memorials in Price Cemetery are revised. The photos will be useful if this is a part of your family. The owner of the memorials is a possible relative.--Storres

I recognize your face, Dave...always good to be able to visit folks around WNY for you, and glad to be your friend!
|Esther Kinder||RE: Charles Milton|
Dear Dave. It was an honor to find the headstone request. I spent almost 7 hours in 4 visits for 21 requests and only found 4 of them. I almost missed Charles as he was buried with his first wife. But I checked the dates and took a chance. Came home and looked up the obituary and seen it was the right one. I did not have any luck finding Betty Palmer though. I have also added you to my friend list. Have a wonderful day.
