Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a South Carolina native with family roots primarily in Berkeley and Spartanburg Counties, as well as in Forsyth County, Georgia. My husband's heritage lies mainly in Polk and Rutherford Counties, North Carolina.

I admit that I am a late bloomer in regard to researching the history of my ancestors. I've always been curious, but now I have become addicted - and absolutely love it! It's a very challenging, and oftentimes confusing, puzzle . . . finding, sorting, and connecting the many, many pieces.

A newcomer to Find-A-Grave, this is my contribution ... in a small way ... to remember and honor those in our family who were here before us, and hopefully help those who follow us.

I believe that everyone should be remembered and in everyone having a nicely written, respectable memorial. I try to give that familial touch to each memorial I add, when possible. While I often work with obituaries, I do not cut and paste verbatim, but always try to tweak each one a little to make for a personal, more interesting memorial.

My primary focus is on the family names of Ballenger, Tallant, Bell, Scott, Horne, Putnam, Jackson, and Constance. Currently I am in the process of photographing and adding memorials for all the gravesites at Mill Creek Church of the Brethren in Green Creek, Polk County, North Carolina.

To Err Is Human, To Correct Divine. If you come across any errors or have additions to the memorials I have created, please let me know. I strive to provide accurate information and will be happy to make any changes necessary.

Lastly, a few thoughts on genealogy . . .

The wise man must remember that while he is a descendant of the past, he is a parent of the future. . . Herbert Spencer

Nothing makes our ancestors seem more real than to walk where they walked and to stand where they finally came to rest.

Our most treasured family heirlooms are our sweet family memories. . . Unknown

Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. . . Anonymous

I believe you have the wrong Beulah Morgan (Corn) listed under the above number.

The "Beulah Morgan" you have listed is my great-aunt Mary Beulah Morgan the daughter of William Cephus Morgan and Comfort Jones-Morgan. She is buried in New Jersey. Her siblings are: James William Cephus Morgan, Margaret Louise Morgan-Watson, Dovie Morgan-Jackson-Smith-Adams, Claudia Morgan-Featherstone-Powell(my grandmother), Leona Morgan-Pitts, Comfort Morgan-Gladney, and Raymond Morgan. Aunt Beulah was married to Ishman M. Wilson and they had three children: Camuel M. Wilson, Millard T. Wilson, and Arbetis Lousia-Marie Wilson-Griffin.

Please un-link "Beulah Morgan Corn" from Comfort Jones Morgan and Margaret Louise Morgan Watson. Thank you,

Dr. Ruth Andrea Featherston

Hi, Patricia,
There is a flip-flop of information on Joseph Franklin Holt's record in Greenlawn Cemetery in Spartanburg. He was born in Clyde, North Carolina and died in Charleston, South Carolina. The dates are correct. Could you make corrections? I just joined and don't know if I have the power to do that.
Thanks muchly,
Melissa Bowen

Hi, I love what you have done in adding relatives to Find A Grave. I'm not sure if you are my cousin Patty. If you are not I would like you to transfer ownership of the Bright Family you have added to me as I have been maintaining their ancestry for quite some time. I am afraid I might duplicate something you have already researched. If you are Patty you are doing a great job and we need to share our information with each other.

Sincerely,
Patty Baumgardner Kirsch

RE: Thomas M Westbrook 72259707
Thanks, Patricia. I am then sure that 'S'owell was then just a transcription error from the old handwriting in the family bible.

Thomas M Westbrook 72259707
In the memorial for Thomas Westbrook it is mentioned that his father's name was William Howell Westbrook. I have transcriptions from Thomas's daughter's family bible indicating the name to be Sowell Westbrook. Sowell vs Howell....similar. May I ask what doc did you find to indicate the name was Howell?

Thank you very much for creating this memorial as it is appreciated. Howell/Sowell is my gggg grandfather.

Hi Patricia.
Lelar McCravy Sumner was my great great grand mother. Lelar was Eva Pruitt Billings aunt. I see that you maintain Eva's information and thought I might check to see if you have any family connection to Lelar and Eva. I have not been able to find any information / obits, etc...on Lelar so I thought I would check with you.
Thanks,
Jeff

Thanks Patricia...
Hi Patricia,

Thanks for all your contributions to Find a Grave. I noticed that there are duplicate entries for my wife Kim's great uncle, Nathan Hale Brady Jr (139727586 & 76466605). Could you investigate?

Thanks and God bless,
