Bio and Links
Bio Photo I started researching my family to find info about my paternal grandmother. Her immediate family all died in an influenza (we think) outbreak and she was raised by her maternal grandparents. I started out to find that side of the family and have over 9000 people in my family tree so far. The names I am most interested in are Stockman, Hunt, Ferryman, and Kendrick.

RE: Info on Daniel McCann
Our family is related through the Cottrell side, too! That's where my brother got much of the information. I talked with someone related to Arthur and his son, Arthur Jr. She said there is no evidence to prove that the Daniel who married Elizabeth Cottrell is the son of Arthur and Mary Catherine Veith. That's why I asked you about where you got your information. Could we continue this discussion by email?

Thanks!

Info on Daniel McCann
Hi Rebecca,
When you put information about the deceased, spouse, parents, etc., on Find A Grave, where do you get the information? Is it from cemetery records? I'm having a crazy time trying to figure out if this Daniel McCann is my gggg grandfather.

Thanks!

Sorry for the error. I have corrected it. Must have not been paying enough attention when I did it. Sorry.

We need to get a verification on the cemetery for . She is the first wife of Irby Hudson and I have her as being buried in The Old Cemetery. See 41273554 for a more complete memorial that gives her full name and dates of birth and death, also links to her family members. This did not come up as a duplicate perh
aps because I used dates of birth and death when I do searches.
Your memorial shows
Birth: unknown
Death: Feb. 14, 1833

Mine shows:

Birth: Jul. 4, 1793
Warren County
Georgia, USA
Death: Feb. 14, 1833
Milledgeville
Baldwin County
Georgia, USA

The Old Cemetery. In the Academy grove is the old cemetery of Eatonton, a sacred area of ground, in which some of the oldest inhabitants of the town sleep. Most of the monuments are yellow with age, and from not a few of them, due to the destructive forces of time, the inscriptions have disappeared. Here lies Irby Hudson, for years Speaker of the Georgia House of Representatives, and one of the earliest champions of co-operative effort in behalf of internal improvements. "Within this same enclosure sleep the Branharns, the Snorters, the Meriwethers, the Cozarts, the Coopers, the Trippes, and scores of others, "whose names appear on the oldest records of the town.

Once it is verified which cemetery she is actually in and you get the info you need for your memorial let me know and I will delete the duplicate. Someone also added the marriage record for the memorial.

Thanks for letting me know.

Duplicate Find A Grave Memorial# 17325180.
Find A Grave Memorial# 17325180.

Go ahead and get all of the information and after you do I will delete the memorial. Sometimes the search for Find A Grave works well other times it does not.
