Bio and Links
Bio Photo I became involved in genealogy when my oldest child needed one last Boy Scout Badge and Family History seemed easy. I called my aunt who was the keeper of my dad's family "flame" to get some information. My son got his badge and I got hooked, (now I'm the keeper of that "flame") That was about 40 years ago. I am a widow now with 4 children and 11 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. The photo was taken when I was 18, so don't let it throw you. I hope my children will someday be interested. I believe it is important to keep a record of where our ancestors are buried ( but please ask permission to use my photo's) and this is just the place. Thanks. (I have recently had a Stroke, so please forgive my slowness.) Robin

RE: Frank Bell, memorial#82342246
hello, Robin--thanks for your note.
I no longer see the details of the message I sent you, but I *believe* it concerned the year of Frank Bell's death (the memorial# in the subject line) as reported in his findagrave memorial. his memorial says 1919, but the official death record says 1918 (see below for a transcription).

ALSO, though he pretty consistently went by the name "Frank" throughout his life, according to his birth record, his birth name was 'Robert Francis Bell' (I can understand why he'd choose 'Frank' instead, though!)

here's the death record:
Name: Frank Bell

Event Place: Gallipolis, Gallia, Ohio
Residence Place: Gallipolis, Gallia, Ohio

Father's Titles and Terms:
Father's Birthplace: Edinburgh, Scotland
Mother's Name: Mary Ellen Holcomb

Frank Bell, memorial#82342246
Hello, Robin--I submitted an edit for the memorial of Frank Bell; his death record (see "Ohio Deaths, 1908-1953") gives death year 1918, not 1919 as you have it. other dates (and places) agree, though. do you have a source for your 1919 date?

thanks for all the great work you've done!
best, Brent Sweeny (Indiana)

Melissa Pendergrass
Dear Robin,

I was so surprised to learn that you had transferred Melissa to me! I hope I didn't wear you out with my tales. I always felt so bad to have "lost" her but in the 1980'-90's it was pretty hard to find where someone was buried. If it wasn't for you she would still be lost.

Thanks a bunch!!

RE: Dixie Spaulding Fife
Hi Robin, I was doing some genealogy research for someone on my husband's side. His mother was a ZEEK, and that was one of the lines I was working on. Linda

RE: Anna Gilkey Ellis
Hi, we would be distant cousins. Do you have any other information on the Gilkeys or photos?

Thank you for all your hard work for Find A Grave.

Appreciate your input and a little more family info. I've been working on a Sams line and came across the Fife name. Thanks. Linda

Queen Photos
I am researching my sister-in-laws family and was thrilled to find your entries for the Queen and Gibbs family. With your permission, may I copy these photos to share with family? I appreciate the time and work that goes into this. It was such a help to locate these memorials.
Much appreciated

had Malinda McClaskey merged
I guess Find a Grave merged our duplicate memorial, but now all you need to do is approve Elizabeth Darst's mother for all the records to be correct. There is no hurry, just whenever you feel up to it.
