Bio Photo Hi fellow grave hunters. I have been working on my family tree along with my husbands for several years and sometimes when you don't have a picture of an individual while on earth a grave photo is the next best thing. It's kind of personal and gives them a bit of chararcter. I live in South Florida. If you contact me directly please please put FAG in the subject box of your email so it does not go to my spam folder.

Your photo request mentions the 'New St. Joseph's'. That cemetery is located in North Versailles and was incorporated as an extension of St. Joseph's on Coursin St., McKeesport.
That may be where you should add your burial records. For more info, here's a link:

Date he Died....
" You have Joseph's death date as 2 Feb 1968. I have that date as his tour start date and a death date as 12 Jun 1978. Can you correct me or the memorial? Thanks. Nay "

Hi Nay... 1978 is when the Government declared him Deceased. The day in Vietnam that he lost his life is Feb. 2, 1968... and that is the date I use ..

The only time I change the date is if the headstone has the Government date of when he was "declared" dead.

Happy I could help. He was next to Hattie Wolf Owen. Don't know if that was of interest to you but I added her also.

The source for his parents is his death record.
Parents listed as Jean Baptiste Larose & Apoline Casavant. The surname would have been Saurette dit Larose. I have the original marriage entry in the parish register of St-Damase Québec for Jean-Baptiste & Appoline and the original baptism record for daughter Appoline Surette. I have been an avid French Canadian genealogist for 25 years and have worked extensively with French Parish registers. Jim

Sometimes Duplicates are not exactly duplicates. there has been a contributor who has been using older memorials and recreating them, changing the name, dates, etc. to make it falsely appear other memorials (like the one you sent me a SaC for) because it might appear to be a dupe. I am going to send the info to Find A Grave admin so they can decide WHO actually created the duplicate. ALSO, YOU cannot merge memorials ONLY Find A Grave admin can and so the next time you come across a problem send the memorial numbers you think should be merged to
