I am a contributor to Find A Grave and like other contributors to this site, Memorials are created in an effort to honor those who have passed.|
I transfer ONLY within Find A Grave guidelines (4th generation). I also ignore requests for bulk transfers.
I do transfer memorials (unless special to me to me or my husband) any memorial or memorials a contributor chooses to SPONSOR!
According to Find A Graves policy transfers are done according to relationships to preserve family ties.
Find A Grave is an amazing website! Because of Find A Grave TWO amazing cousins located me One after many years the other I never knew existed! Thanks Find A Grave!!!!!!!!
Thank goodness FOR GPS! For many years Weve had GPS on our vehicles and phones! When you have GPS you can always find and/or prove where your phones and/or vehicles were/are at any given SECOND! GPS also assists in locating cemeteries and grave sites.
If you want or need to add something to one of the memorials I created PLEASE click on the edit tab at the top of the memorial's page. Some folks might not realize you can add or edit family links, names, dates, etc. etc. This feature was added some time ago. Sure makes it easier on those of us who VOLUNTEER! I check for edits at least twice a day even if im busy with my husband!
Those who feel no pride in their ancestors, is unworthy to be remembered by their descendants-

|M. Bishop||Bishop photo|
So sorry to hear of your loss. You can e-mail me the Bishop photo and if you can give me some information about her family, I will try to see if she fits into my family tree.

Thank you for letting me know. I better reread the guidelines again. It has been awhile. I felt like I was supposed to wait for a response from you glad I did. I didn't know they could merge them. Thank you again.
|Devin Houston||To my FindaGrave friend, Carolyn|
Though we've never met in person, I think of you as a long-time friend. Findagrave is a wonderful tool for bringing people together, oddly enough through the accounting of death and cemeteries. I know you have experienced a tremendous loss, Carolyn. I hope you have the support of family and friends and they hold you close. If I make it out to my childhood neighborhood I will look you up and give a big hug. Stay strong, be sad for now, but time will let you smile again.

Based on the date of death, this person is a renowned Methodist minister; see biography at:

Here is one for the books. I've researched her til my eyes crossed, then started all over and over again. I keep coming up with the same answer. The only question I have now & still researching, is which of the Ritchie men did she marry? Following is what I've found.
Her birth (23 Nov 1900 in Johnson City, Hays, TX) and death records (4 Aug 1947 Eagle Pass, Maverick, TX) say her name was William Henry Happle, dau to Robert William Happle & Alma Mayes but she was also known as Willo H Happle. She was married #1 to Murl O'Keefe (they had a son together). Married #2 to Perry Glass in Mexico. Married #3 to (fnu) Ritchie. She is buried in Maverick County Cemetery in Eagle Pass, TX. She is always listed as female, even under the William Henry Happle name.
Hope this makes sense to you. It took me a long while to figure it out.

Took me a while but I finally found her unindexed death certificate in FamilySearch.org. A copy is attached to her Memories there using her ID# LL7K-MWT Still looking for her birth certificate, but at least now we know her parents. Thanks for the work you do for those who can't visit the gravesites. Keep Smiling.
