I'm entering memorial pages to remember those who have completed their journey here. I believe the Find A Grave burial registry helps us to preserve history and is an extremely useful genealogical tool. I especially love to hear from folks who have found a family member or friend through a memorial that I created, that gives real meaning to this work. If you have any corrections or additions to suggest on memorials that I have created, I will take care of them, usually within a week. If you want any records transferred to you that are not in my family, please do not hesitate to ask.

To my friends who have decorated the graves of my precious daughter, Tammy Jo Modglin, and my Mom and Dad, Dorothy Darlene Brown and Carmel Garth Brown, and my sister, Judith Ann "Judy" Brown, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your kindness is very much appreciated, as I decorate also for as many as I can, too.

God Bless All Of You...

James Curtis Headstone Photo
Glenda, this is a bit late but I wanted to Thank You for adding the headstone photo for James Curtis. I really appreciate it.

Would you be willing to transfer his memorial page to me? My Contributor # is 46893715

James is part of my direct line on my father's side

If James is part of your family and you want to keep the memorial, I completely understand.

RE: Lost photo requests
Ok I added a lot of photos today and you might want to check your edits. I added some family links and dates.

RE: St John's Cemetery
Hi Glenda! Dislocated thumb? Ouch! So sorry! About the cemetery - I photographed the entire center section last year, and am currently working on the south section. I am going row-by-row and photographing all of them and putting them on findagrave. I'll try to be nice and ignore the requests for now - lol!

RE: Re: Westille Cemetery
Well at least you some good news. But I have some bad news. All the request you put in did not show up. Not sure what happened. I'm taking pictures of the whole cemetery. So many of the old ones you can no longer read. I have 2 1/2 sections left to do. I saved the biggest one for last.

St John's Cemetery
Hi Glenda!
Wow, what's with all the north side requests?! Trying to keep me busy? Lol! I've been working on the south side, but guess I'll have move over a bit. Good excuse to get out and enjoy the weather! Take care.

WOW bad luck is right. Glad when I broke my arm it was my right one (I'm a lefty). When ever you're feeling better just pick any of your pages and click the "request a photo" button.

RE: McKentric Cem
Ok, thanks for the information. No one has a date for Permelia's death - since we can't find a tombstone. She is in the 1850 census with husband James and James remarried in 1855 so she died sometime in the 1850-1855 time frame. Lucinda Stant Currey was Permelia's only child who lived to have children - she was my Mother's great grandmother.

And I hope you get to feeling better - that sounds like it could be painful!! And thanks again for the information. Permelia remains a real mystery to me.

thanks, Jim

RE: McKentric Cem
cemetery transcript - that was really my original question, maybe I didn't state it very well, but what exactly is a cemetery transcript? I'm thinking that one of these 12 could be Permelia?

thanks, Jim
