Can't help but notice a Lucille Starr Frye (1928 - 2012) as a child and wonder if she's related to you.
I'm looking for a Sarah/Sally Starr who married Emerson Gallimore, son of Jesse Gallimore and Ruth Wright of Davidson County, NC.
Lost 'Sally' after 1880 census where she's listed as a widow. Their children are:
Edward Gallimore 1852 – 1900
Frances Emerson Gallimore 1856 – 1937
Robert H Gallimore 1858 –
Alice I Gallimore 1860 – 1896
Ellen E. Gallimore 1866 – 1937
Minnie Bell Gallimore 1867 – 1945
Sidney Gallimore 1870 –
John's daughter by Elizabeth Trexler was Annie C Starr.
More: The above Alice Gallimore married John Varker and they had 3 children. Alice died in 1896 - and in 1898, John married her cousin - Annie C Starr.
John Varker is my Great-uncle, brother to my GF.
I realize it's a lot of probably useless info, but would be remiss in my search for Emerson's widow. Don't know if she died shortly after or possibly remarried - could be likely - she was fairly young - 48 - when widowed.
