I'm a native of Longmont, CO. I'm been interested in genealogy for almost 50 years but I did take time off to raise a family. Research is much easier now then it was 30 years ago. The Denver Library and Federal Archives are not far away and that has been a help. |
When I started taking photos my husband didn't come but after a visit to a cemetery that was on a one lane road on the side of a mountain he was hooked. The markers were very old and very interesting, so now he willing walks around a cemetery with me as we locate the markers that were requested. He trims the grass and pulls the weeds around the markers to be sure I get a good photo. We also stop and visit relatives and friends and look at interesting markers. The two remarks on markers I have really liked are "This is the only stone she left unturned." and "I told you I was sick."
You have my permission to use headstone photos that I have posted for your genealogy record.

Thanks so much for taking the time to get this photo for me, you've been a blessing.

Thank you so much for the photo. I definitely want it on the site. At least we can see the wife's burial spot and know where he is buried. I guess that happens more than we realize: Whoever goes last, no one places a marker on their grave. Perhaps we all should make those arrangements while we are still living.
Thanks again, Linda

So sorry that it has taken me so long to answer your email. I haven't been on find a grave recently.
Do you go to other cemeteries around Colorado? I'm looking for the Woodland Park Cemetery.

DELETE THEM???? No! Please don't it is a shame that the graves are unmarked, but I'm still thrilled that you have posted photos of their resting places! I appreciate your accuracy and quickness. It means so very much to our family! (Ohhhh. Yes and I'm not like those ________'s at the Longmont Genealogical Society whoever runs their findagrave is a _____! I would never be so rude! ) gosh they were telling me a while back that my grandmas middle name was eleanor when the tombstone, cemetery records, And birth records said esther! Then wouldn't change the wrong info! Gosh..... a favor? You manage my aunt and uncle Maria, Anna , and Nils Baller. I would LOVE a transfer if you are willng?
Thanks for the photohraphs :-)

Thanks so much for the photo. Leo was a woman and a cousin of my father's. Leo is an unusual name for a woman, I know. The children in that part of the family all had unique names. I will see about getting the stone fixed, and I thank you so much for the information and the picture. Jane Cockayne Weaver.
Can you please transfer my family to me?
