For almost thirty years I have been involved in genealogy. When my mother died, she left some notes about a few ancestors she had uncovered and hoped I would continue her research. That was the hook-in-the-jaw that changed my life. I only regret that I have missed out on so many years that I could have used. Alas, all those family stories that went in one ear and out the other, and all those family members who took so much information to the grave with them.
I am, however, thankful for the tools that are now available and for FindAGrave, a platform that I have spent many hours gaining from and contributing to.
If I have created a memorial for your family member, and YOU CAN ADD MORE INFORMATION, I will be glad to transfer it to you. However, many have received a transfer & have never added anything. This isn't fair to kin who may come along later who can do so.
An exception to the above are my Bell, Dodson, & Love ancestors and kin, most of whom have numerous descendants. Much of the information contained in their memorials is the result of many years of tedious research, and as new information comes to light, I would like to be able to make those changes. For these memorials please follow FindAGrave guidelines for transfers.

Hi, I am so happy you put Enoch's memorial on find a grave. He was my gr grandmother's brother. He was the son of Jackson and Sarah Goolsby Love. I am sorry to say I haven't found where they were buried. I still hope to, but am disabled and can't get out like I use to. Please let me know how you are related. A lot of his brothers went to Texas. I live in Phenix City, Russell Co., Al. They lived in Chambers Co., Al. Maybe we can help each other. I hope to hear from you. my e mail is

Okay, I said Cooks, I meant Cooper, but I found on Ancestry.com where she had been born a Middlebrooks, then married a Cooper....
