I am the daughter of Ila Merle Knox, who was a local historian and genealogy buff. She served as Librarian of the Strong Public Library for over 25 years. She compiled two family booklets: one on the Gathrights of South AR, her maternal line, and one on the Vestals of South AR, her paternal line. Her best-known published book was "History of Strong, Arkansas -- 75 Years", which is now out of print. (Copies may be found at all of the public libraries in Union County, AR.) My mother spent countless hours collecting information from relatives, friends, acquaintances, and former residents of the county (not to mention trips to cemeteries) in order to have the most accurate facts for her books. My objective, as a contributor for Find-A-Grave, is to share this information and my own with other contributors. I've mainly focused on helping link parents, spouses and children to existing memorials, but I also enjoy creating memorials when I see a need and have the info. I believe that we, as Find-A-Grave Contributors, should strive to present pleasing and informative memorials for whoever is viewing them. Each tombstone tells the partial story of a life; tombstone photos help preserve memories and personal information and greatly enhance any memorial. I'm indebted to several persons who have added tombstone photos and personal photos to some of the memorials I've created. THANK YOU!|

Regarding the site for Nancy McKinnon Cameron, the obituary is not correct. The obituary posted is for my GGGrandmother Nancy Ann "Nan" Cameron Douglass. Thank you for posting it but could you move it to her site #79581330?
I would love to be able to post comments on some of the sites but don't know how to.

I was there last June and took pictures of the whole cemetery, it is on my list to go through and put the missing pics on findagrave, but right now I am working on Strong Cemetery. I will do Smackover next if no one claimed your picture request.

Can you recheck him. He was born in 1869 and you have Maggie M. Berry Dollar as his child, she was born in 1861
I have been meaning to get in touch with you, we have the same family roots. I have been in touch with Richard and Horace Nash. Horace said I need to talk to you. Maybe come winter we can talk.
|widow||FYI - 'widowmate' pages|
Hello Iris -
For unknown reasons, as of today, 'widowmate's' email address is 'not recognized' at Find A Grave! therefore, I am not able to process edits/sacs for his pages .... I have emailed Tipton, but won't hold my breath for a response.
Meanwhile - just wanted you to know - as I am aware that you are working pages at Woodlawn in El Do.
