I have been doing genealogy as a hobby for 25 years and am gradually adding members of my family and others to Find A Grave, and/or adding personal photos from my collection and details to memorials which you wonderful folks have already added. I have Swedish ancestry and enjoy doing Swedish research in my spare time.|
Besides my family and its connections in the USA and Sweden, my other areas of focus are war and military cemeteries in Germany, and historical figures of the Hannover, Germany, area along with their families. And sometimes I just walk the rows.
Please use the edit tab on each memorial page for corrections or additions.
My grave photos are free to anyone for non-profit use, and it would be much appreciated if you gave credit to Find A Grave.
Thanks to everyone for your contributions and for so promptly filling requests! I will upgrade all memorials where photo requests of mine are fulfilled. If you don't receive an acknowledgment or a thank you from me, it's because I didn't receive the notification e-mail. In this case please send me a personal message to let me know you fulfilled the request, thanks.

|Juergen Wessel||Meta Rathe|
Dear BopB, wonderfull to find this memorial for Meta Rathe, born as Meta Koglin !
If you'll click this Link below, you will see my investigations in the Meta Rathe / Schartenberg -family.The jewish-family Meta and her little sons Wolfgang (11) and Guenther (8) were hiding in a cellar as from Oct. 1943 to May 1945 because of the NAZi-Terror against jews.
Or just google "Ein Kellerversteck in der Stephanusstrasse"
Kind regards from Juergen Wessel,Germany,Hannover-Linden email@example.com

I, too , have Swedish ancestry. I have only been able to go back one generation (1829) in Sweden before my great grandfather migrated to the U.S. His name was Simonsson and his mother 's was Nilsdotter. They were from the Malmo area.
I have taken about 500 photos at the Swedish cemetery in Portland and will be matching them up with find a grave memorials this winter. If there are others there that you need let me know.
Michael Simonds (Simonsson)

Hi Bob - I'm happy to transfer management of this record over to you for Christine Deak to allow you to include the information you suggested. I added this record for you & others for perspective on what I found while looking for Virginia Wissinger's grave - I have no other interest.

I have tested it too - but in the moment the old system works better for me.

Interesting to see the photo of Ester. She was the half sister of my mother Anna Lisa. Wold be nice to know it we have some realtives in the USA? I know her daughter emigrated but since my mother and all her brothers and sisters are now dead there is no one to ask.
All the best / Bo

I do not know what it means to sponsor a memorial or why you did it. Thank you. Please explain what it means.
I am excited that you got photos for some of my memorials in Hanover. Thanks so much. I have ancestors there, but I don't know where they are buried or even how to find out.
If you ever see the surnames Ballin or Hess (Hass?), please get photos, and if you don't like to make memorials, let me know and I will make them. In any case, let me know and I will put in photo requests so you can get credit.
I wish you all the best.

Thank you Bob for taking this picture.

Thank you for adding the grave marker photo to the memorial for Sgt. George Douglas Lees. He is a relative through marriage to one of my relatives and I know his family will appreciate it. His brother Private Eli Arthur Lees was also a casualty of WWII.
