Bio and Links
Bio Photo It is my firm belief that memorial pages on this website should be established to aid family members in paying tribute to their relatives and to aid in genealogical research. At no time will I ever deny transferring a memorial to a family member to "keep my numbers from being lowered". I have been denied transfers for that very reason by individuals more concerned in bringing glory to themselves than to the individual for which the memorial was created. Above all, may these memorials bring praise and glory to God, for without Him there would be no hope beyond the grave.
Most of the memorials are for family to find and to ask for the management be transferred to them. All others: use the Edit function in the upper right of a memorial for corrections and suggestions.

"thank you" or "it's okay".

Hubert Howell - Corinth Cemetery

I have moved his memorial from Unknown to Corinth Methodist Cemetery. His obituary mentioned Corinth "Baptist" Church, and his being a deacon there, so that was the reason for confusion on my part. I knew Hubert and most of his Howell relations. Glad you got the accurate information from the funeral home.

Thank you so very much for the pictures of Lloyd Bolt and his wife Lera Jean.

May I use them in my BOLT family tree.

RE: Lula Clementine Yates
Hi Sharon,
Thank you so much, I very much appreciate your efforts setting up and maintaining the memorial for my great-grandmother Lula and the photo of all three grave markers. Wow! You are so great. I met my great-grandmother Lula just a couple of times, I was only 8 & 9 when my grandfather Suwannee and then she passed. The last time I was in Blakely I was with my father and his sister and a cousin. Unfortunately Hurricane Ivan was wrecking our plans and we had to quickly move on and did not get to visit Lula’s or Suwannee’s grave.
Aunt Sally was close to my father’s sisters, her nieces. And I got pictures of her from my father’s sisters. Along with my step-grandmother Gladys, she became legendary to me because they were the last of that generation - the long lived survivors. I only met Aunt Sally a couple of times, possibly last at my Aunt Margie’s viewing in 1992.
Let me end by saying thank you. I have long wondered what the grave stones look like.
Ps: My dad grew up In Lucille which is a tiny place outside of Blakely. As a little boy he told me he thought life could not be better than in LaGrange. He loved the town and FDR!

Family Links & corrections
Thanks for the links and the corrections. I found this cem when I was coming home from Waco. It was right off the highway and very interesting. Lots of family relations and intermarriages in the church. But back in the 30's to the 50's you had to walk to find a mate so some didn't go very far. di

Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery
Thank you so much for the photos of the final resting places of G. H. Lee and wife, Laura Bell Treadwell Lee that you posted. I think photos make memorials much more meaningful and also provide additional records of burials for our loved ones. I appreciate your help and your dedication to those who have gone before us. Thank you again, Pat in Texas.

Thanks Sharon that will make it easier to find when a search is made. So glad you made the memorial. I was at the wall two weeks ago and saw his name. As time goes by there is not very much activity going on. Only about 10 people at the Wall. It has been 40+ years.
