There are over 400 "unknown" in the Hilview East also known as Hillview Annex Cemetery in LaGrange, Georgia, in the Pauper Section.. If you know who any of them are, please contact me. Of the 19 that have been identified by family and now have a marker with name and dates, the death year ranges between 1900 and 1949.
If you have a loved one that died in LaGrange Georgia or Troup County Georgia, and you have not found their grave, consider that they may be here.
I would appreciate it if you could leave a few flowers on their memorials. They are listed as Pauper Unknown and have the number that is on their marker.
The Clock of Life -
The clock of life is wound but once.
And no man has the power, to tell just when the hands will stop. At late or early hour.
To lose one's wealth is sad, indeed.
To lose one's health is more.
To lose one's soul is such a loss.
That no man can restore.
The present only is our own.
So live, love, toil with a will.
Place no faith in tomorrow.
For the clock may then be still.
Author - Robert H. Smith.
Those we Love remain with us,
for Love itself lives on.
Cherished memories never fade, because a loved one is gone.
Those we Love can never be, more than a thought apart.
For as long as there is a memory, they’ll live on in our heart.

|Mrs. Bee||Cemeteries you have photographed|
In your photographing cemeteries, you have taken pictures of some tombstones of distant relatives. I would like to put pictures of the tombstones with the people in my file at Ancestry.com. May I have your permission to do so? I will, of course, give you credit for the picture. Thank you.

Thank you for posting the photos of the graves. I have updated Joseph Rutledge's profile by liking another child, Eugene Rutledge, and also his father, James Rutledge. I appreciate your hard work and your consideration in posting these photos.

Sharon, I so agree with you..there is no "us" and "them". We are all one and each individual deserves this respect. It's an honor to add flowers at the least. Thank you for making these graves known.

|Deborah Shelton Wood||FORD and Paupers Unknown|
Thank you for the W D Ford gravestone photo and thank you for making the Paupers Unknown memorials. How thoughtful. I will add flowers to all of them. I do confess I didn't know in which state LaGrange was located and I believe you misspelled Hillview in the cemetery name; so wanted to let you know that you might add the state for some of us who aren't good with geography. Thank you for all.
