Bio and Links
Bio Photo I got into genealogy in 2007 and I just love it. The main families I'm researching are: Powers, Bell, Benford, Warren, and McIntosh on my father's side and Hawk, Herndon, Dunlap, Lunsford, and Davis on my mother's side. I will gladly share any information I have.

I'm not sure. Wish I were more helpful. Sometimes, as I'm sure you know, it's difficult to determine what county you are in when at a cemetery in the middle of nowhere.
I had my father's cousin take me to where she remembered her aunt being buried. We walked where we could and sweated more than we should but never found their stones. She was elderly and not very sure on her feet. Cemeteries are dangerous places to be when that's the case.
You could be right. I think someone once told me I had them in the wrong cemetery but I didn't have time, at the time, to correct it and now I'm not sure what they said.
I'll try to investigate if further at another time but I'm busy taking a new job...or at least trying!

RE: Wilmer Ward
Thank you very much for the offer, at this time I am not doing anything on the Ward family,Wilmer is the only on that is married into this side of my family.I also found a married Annetta M Ward that died in 1971, but as the obit shows, she was still alive at that time.
Thanks again for all of the information.

Wilmer Ward
I am researching my family and I am trying to locate the burial of a Annetta Mae Vinson that was married to a Wilmer Ward Find A Grave memorial #60276666 (your memorial). You posted a picture of a double headstone, but I can not read the inscription. He died in May and she died in November same year, I am wondering if she is listed on the headstone.
Thank you for any information you can provide.
Thank you
Ed Sanders (distant cousin)

Lucy Orene Hamrick McWhorter
Janie, thanks for the newspaper obituary for Lucy Orene Hamrick McWhorter. Using the obituary I added her middle and maiden name. I also added her birth/death date and linked with her parents. Do you know if her brothers are at this cemetery? Thanks again.

ARTHUR "GENE" WHITE
JANIE, THANKS FOR THE INFO ON HIM. HE WAS MY MOTHERS IST COUSIN. I JUST HADN'T GOT AROUND TO UPDATING ALL THE INFO ON HIM. I HAVE A LOT, BUT YOU HAVE ADDED SO MUCH MORE. BY THE WAY HIS FATHER CHARLES AMERICUS WHITE DIED IN DEC 1911 FROM RABIES. I HAVE AND OLD NEWSPAPER ARTICLE ABOUT HIS DEATH. HIS FATHER DIED IN THE SAME HOUSE WHERE HHIS SON WAS BORN ON THE SAME DAY. HE HAD AN OLDER SISTER AND BROTHER. THEY WERE ALL SMALL AND WOULDN'T HAVE REMEMBERED HIM.

Joe Whit Walker
Hi Janie: Thanks a million for all the photos you have taken and posted, and the Memorials you have created or enhanced with additional information. I am particularly pleased that you found and sent me the Obituary for my good friend, Joe Whit Walker. Joe Whit didn't let the fact that Polio shriveled his left leg in the 1950's stop him from accomplishing great things!
Take care,
Jerry
