I have been working on my family genealogy for about 26 years and enjoy helping others in the process. What a great website we have here to be able to help others with their research and bringing so many families together in the process.|
Please stop and visit with my sister.

Under the "EDIT" key: You can Suggest a correction or provide additional information for any entry that I have made. Please send over the Parents and Spouse links on this also. You can also ask for a transfer under the EDIT key, then I have your ID # and can easily do the transfer for you.
I would be happy to transfer ownership of a record that I have added, if they are family and have more information that they would like to add.
Thank you for all the flowers and notes that have been added to the memorials that I have posted.

|Karen Fry & Raymond Miller||Wondering if you know where we can find ...|
Let me start by apologizing for the long message.
My husband, Raymond Glen Miller, is a cousin of your cousin Nancy Overbey Linville. We live in California but have been actively researching the Millers and the Overbeys, to name a few. Ray's grandmother was Cora Overbey. She married William Miller. Both died in the early 1900s and their death certificates say they are in Piqua, location unknown. We visited 2 years ago hoping to locate their graves. No markers. We contacted the person named on the poster nailed to the tree. He helped as much as he could but could not tell us where they are buried. We visited with cousin Nancy on our last visit a few weeks ago and acquired CDs of the cemeteries. They show Ray's grandparents are in Piqua.
What we need is to know who to contact that can get us a map of the cemetery and tell us who anything about the unmarked spots in Piqua. Ownership documents may help. Cora's father was Oscar Perry Overbey, son of Richard.
Giving us direction of any kind would be fantastic.
Thank you so much in advance.

|Debbie Roberts||Re: John|
My grandmother was Clio Alverti Hays who married John and preceded him in death. I was only 3 when she died so I don't remember anything about the two of them, but have been sort of trying to find things out. Was John Behrend your father-in-law?

There is also a George Albert Ray in this plot with Salathiel and Della. George and Della both died in 1886 and about the same age so perhaps they were married. Obits didn't name names. George's memorial is 24222278, with obit I found.

Cheryl, just ran across a Mrs. Della Ray, who is also buried in this Ray plot. She died 4-29-1886 at the age of 23 years. Do you know how she is connected to Salathiel? Her memorial is #24236498. Thanks.

You're welcome! Since he was a CW vet, I imagine a stone could be arranged for him. I know a few years back one could request one even if no relationship but not sure that still is true.

I sent through "edit" an article published on C.S. Curtis for his memorial. I have found that the "edit" requests don't always send the contributor a notice/request through email.
I have another interesting article about him that I found in my Great Grandmother's Bible. It is a page torn from a book of some sort. I can email it to you if you would like.

I was able to find a plot marker for Mr. Ray with his initials on it, but he has no regular stone. I added a couple of photos showing the small marker and the overall area where he is. I felt very fortunate to have found a plot marker as that area has so many unmarked graves.
