Bio and Links
Bio Photo The descendants of the old settlers, those who cleared the land and first upturned the wild sod to the sun, should see that the doings of those early years are fittingly remembered and recorded.
It was once remarked by a great writer that those who take no interest in the deeds of their ancestors are not likely to do anything worthy to be remembered by their descendants.

Please leave flowers or memorials on my memorials, I believe everyone deserves flowers, and I have a great family. Thank you in advance.
A BIG thank you to those who send histories, death notices, obits and links to add to the memorials. They are wonderful additions.
You may use my pictures and information for your family trees but I do like credit. This is all put on findagrave for your family trees because so many people have helped me with mine. Thank you.

Please read Find A Grave's Transfer Requirements before requesting a transfer "THE FIND A GRAVE GUIDELINES FOR TRANSFERRING MEMORIALS ARE: Spouses, Parents, Brothers and Sisters, Children, Grand-children, Grandparents, and Great-grandparents. Please use the "EDIT" tab to ask for a transfer BUT PLEASE do no ask for a transfer that is not within these guidelines and PLEASE STATE YOUR RELATIONSHIP TO THE DECEASED.
Putting requests on this site you will be ignored, and erased. Ignorance is not bliss it is just embarrassing for you.

For extended family members you can add
Virtual Cemeteries as we have done.

PLEASE USE the "EDIT" TAB ON THE UPPER RIGHT SIDE OF THE MEMORIAL TO SEND CORRECTIONS AND REQUESTS FOR TRANSFERS. Will gladly add any obits and will add links to family members. "
IF A MISTAKE IS FOUND PLEASE EMAIL ME,USING THE EDIT BUTTON ON THE MEMORIAL. This is very important which is why it is CAPITALIZED thank you.

Your tombstone stands among the rest;
Neglected and alone.
The name and date are chiseled out On polished, marble stone.
It reaches out to all who care It is too late to mourn.

You did not know that I exist You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our heart contracts and beat a pulse Entirely not our own.

Dear Ancestor, the place you filled One hundred years ago Spreads out among the ones you left Who would have loved you so.I wonder if you lived and loved,I wonder if you knew That someday I would find this spot, And come to visit you.

He is buried in the Pioneer Memorial Cemetery San Bernardino, CA. Where did you find his birth date? I cannot find it. The Cemetery has the date of burial as Sep 11, 1887. They do not have the location.

Good morning Barbara.
In the cedar hill cemetery in Montrose a Civil War soldier- # 21252896 only 18 and in the army for 2 months was murdered in Elmira, NY by draft resisters...I just had a big row with someone in a Facebook group and she had the news story deleted. I was able to find it and transcribed it- sent it to you as an edit for his biography. Please add it?
Thank you- always a pleasure working with you.

Van Der Linda

You asked me to change the spelling to Vanderlinda but I am keeping it the way I have it as that is how it is spelled on the headstone. I hope you are doing well!

Would you please delete memorials 21121850 and 1851 as they are a duplication of memorial 112234344. I know it was put in after your entry, but it is correct and includes a photo. Thanks.

Maude H. Howell
Her memorial number is 30016359. Her husband Willey Howell was a retired Army officer. He died on July 31, 1940 in California. I could not locate a burial place for him. Do you know if he is burial at Hillside Memorial Park also? Thanks for the help.
