I have been interested in genealogy since the early 1980s. My paternal grandmother gave me her information on the family lines and encouraged me to keep up with the family - which I have. She would have been so excited to find the many family that I have been able to find via the internet and all its availability. |
I am a member of the Grady County Historical Society, and was one of the editors of the "Cemeteries of Grady County, Georgia", compiled in 2006. Having been a member of the Society since 2000, I have served as President, Vice President, Secretary and an area representative for the Spence Community.
I am also a member of the Mitchell County Genealogy Society, beginning a project of adding information and photos to Find A Grave site of Mitchell County Cemeteries.
I have gathered information and pictures and compiled a book on the history of the Spence community of Grady County - including its people, businesses, schools, and churches. I AM PUBLISHED AS OF NOVEMBER 2014 - "A Look At Times Past In Spence, Georgia"

This couple died the same day. Do you know if they were in an auto accident, or just what did happen to them?
Just one of those things that drives me insane, when I cannot find an answer.
Thanks for any info.

|M & R Thompson Parker||Carrie Cornelia Geeslin|
I have attached Carrie to the parents which you requested, Young C. and Sarah Corley.
However do you provide proof that these were her parents? Upon a little research, I found on her and James M. Geeslin's marriage license, that she was listed as Carrie Crawley.
I just like to be sure that I am connecting people to their correct parents.

You are correct, I had my names mixed up. This Basco Cooper in subject line was married to Mary G Williamson Cooper #35961746 who is now showing as one of his children. Maybe Theodore Cooper was a child from a previous marriage, this I do not know anything about? Basco is missing his other child Henry Dalton Cooper #20636317. Thanks for your help.

When you get a chance would you change daughter Mary Williamson Cooper #35961746 to be Theodore's wife? Thanks, Donna Whigham

|Winnette||Re: Imogene Ansley|
Donna, I had declined your request to remove the places of birth and death and explained her obituary showed she was born in Moultrie and died in Thomasville. Yet is is still on, requesting to show unknown locations. Do you want to show they are unknown, although the info is valid? I will be glad to transfer her to you and you can add, what ever you would like. Just let me know. Thanks, Winnette
