I was born in Jersey City, NJ and lived there for the first seventeen years of my life. The only grave I ever visited was my grandfather; he died in 1960. I didn't know that, within view of his grave, just accross the street, was the unmarked grave of my older brother. The Viet Nam War, and my part as a medic from age 17, put me in contact with many more graves and the people who would visit them. |
I am now a retired Police Officer living in Fairborn, Ohio. I have been an Evidence Tech (now called CSI), Forensic Photographer and Death Investigator during my career and I suppose I'm still doing those things now - as a hobby.
Darlene and I had to put Cherry Grove Cemetery in Xenia, OH on 'standby' and are working in Rockafield Cemetery on the campus of Wright State University. This old pioneer cemetery has been expanded to include donors to their Anatomical Gift Program and the records that I've been given go back to 1970. It will be a busy winter for us but we are not even half-way done with photographing the memorial bricks that line the walkway through the cemetery.
We are still working on finding the graves of soldiers in the USCT and the 54th and 55th Massachusetts Infantry who are buried in Greene Co., OH but this is mostly book-work now.
Any 'grave photographs' I have taken are public domain; copy them and use them as you please.
*TRANSFERS: Most of the memorials that I have posted are not related to me, they are projects that I have taken-on. I believe that ANY relative should be able to take over management of these graves. Just ask me.

|Elaine Neetz||Schauer Family Descendant|
Thanks for all you do, Wayne. I was so excited to see information linking the pioneer graves of the Schauer family on here. I'm currently working on the genealogy on Ancestry.com and wondered if I could have your permission to show pics of the gravesites on our ancestry page? I am, indeed, a descendant of Samuel Schauer and family and hope to visit the Byron Cemetery and Church (which my ancestors deeded the land for) before my father passes on. Hope to hear from you soon!

Would you please be able to tell me where the information came from that refers to his parents on the memorial. He is my 4th great-grandfather.
Thank you so much.
|Granny Moss 2||Paul Clifton|
Thank You for the information. It solves some of the problems.
|Granny Moss 2||Paul J Clifton|
You put his information on Findagrave and he died in 1983 and was not interred until not 1985
He was my grandchildren's great-uncle ( their surname is Clifton +. and I am researching this family. Would u email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and explain this to me and do you know if there was an obit or anything on this man. He is not listed much on his sisters and brothers obits and I am trying to figure this family out

Thank you for the wonderful pictures and memorials you have done on behalf of my Donovan cousins. It is nice to know where they are buried and to see wonderful photos of their stones, all done by you. :)

Thanks for transferring Donna Jean and Paul's memorials. I will add what additional family information that I have.
|William Kovacs II||Williamson Transfer|
Thanks for the transfer of the Williamson family members.
Thanks for the transfer. I will let you know about other transfers as soon as I get them sorted out. I found Aunt Weaver by accident. My husband has Lewis and I was actually looking for the grave of Marion Lewis married to Irene Crone who would be John Crone's sister. Thank you so much.
