Bio

I enter records here on Find A Grave for two reasons: First is to help others find the graves of lost family members and second is to remember our War Hero's who have given their all for our country and our freedom. I do this in hope that their sacrifice and their story will not be forgotten.

It's the SOLDIER,
not the reporter who has given us Freedom of the Press...

It's the SOLDIER,
not the poet, who has given us Freedom of Speech...

It's the SOLDIER,
not the campus organizer, who has given us the Freedom to Demonstrate...

It's the SOLDIER,
not the lawyer, who has given us the Right to a Fair Trial...

It's the SOLDIER who:
SALUTES THE FLAG,
SERVES UNDER THE FLAG
and whose COFFIN IS DRAPED BY THE FLAG.

Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

"IF YOU ARE CONTACTING ME BECAUSE YOU THINK I POACHED A PHOTO REQUEST, DON'T BOTHER..."

I take photos because I am at that location and there is a photo request. If you in fact claimed the photo request, the new findagrave system doesn't allow me to get credit for your claimed photo, YOU GET YOUR CREDIT. If you are for some reason claiming requests days or weeks in advance of your plan to actually fulfill the photo request you are doing a disservice to findagrave and the family requesting the photo as many others may have been in the area and able to fill that request in advance of you finally making time to take the photo.

I make no claim of ownership of graves, other than those of my family members, and I will gladly transfer memorials to others on request. My family names include Hansen, Cotten, Lambert, Sidlinger, Rice, Arnold, Kirkpatrick, Reynolds, Fisher, Hasse, and Hulke.

If you are photographing headstones, please do not use shaving creme on the headstone, it damages the stone, see information at this link http://ncptt.nps.gov/blog/shaving-creamgenealogists-friend-or-cemetery-conservators-foe/
