Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am new to this wonderful site and there are a couple of things I have learned. 1) There are some guys out there that only take pictures of the headstones, post what they see ONLY. They don't really care about the living, that might be looking for and learning about where WE came from. AND they SAY we the LIVING are not suppose to use this site for TREES and genealogy.
These guys I have learned are not only guys but some ladies too... why is it that these grave hunters send us "suggestions" as to how WE family historians can and can not place on a memorial and then when we try to TALK to them... there is no address or message box to explain why and what we are doing for this site,,, without US family tree Historians this site would not be 1/3 as BIG as it is,..............

and opposite of the f-a-g rules/regs. IF I have made a memorial that I am only a niece and you are a grandchild... I dont care how many g-g-g-g- there are between you, you are a closer relative I WILL TRANSFER them to you because you are closer and will take care of them I am sure. But if I too am a granddaughter I will get to keep my memorial and I will add info if you have a source to prove it. rules/regs say "4 generations-siblings- parents- grandparent - g-grandparents only so anything past the g-g-grandparents do NOT have to be g-g-grandparents were born 1800s so anything past that century falls past the MUST...

2) then there are us gals that I have "spoken" to that say: THIS SITE IS FOR THE LIVING and YES we can and owe it to those that have gone and, as one person says:" Remember me in my FAMILY TREE-My NAME-My Days-My strife and I shall ride upon the wings of time and live an endless life" And I have PROOF and SOURCES that tell me that my grandparents lived and loved and died and their headstones are out there, the headstone-cemetery "shutter-bugs" just have not found them in the backyards of where they lived 300 or so years ago. (and I do want to thank those "shutter-bugs" for all their hard work)

grandparents I am looking for and trying to find more proof: Greer-Puntenney-Taylor-Finney-Heathcoats-Picketts-Lee-Allerton-Manis-Toepfer-Budtke-Wahmann-Bartelt-(Buttke-Bartell)-Gaae-Rimer-Poynter-Truitt-Hamilton-Johnston-Saunders-Chapman-Lowe-Day-Groves-Hill. Delph-These are just the ones that i have found the PROOF for. AND NOW< I have a TAYLOR-GREER link back to John Taylor, brother to Ann Taylor who married John GREER>
Hope it holds I need proof for 2 generations only
the new gramma's names are: Pate-Midkiff-McCrocklin-Davis-Parker--Eunice maiden unk-Crawford-Robinson-Mary (unk)Mason-Mckechey-Tinsley-Ragland-
The new LEE family Gramma names are: Freeman-Reed (also spelled Reid) and Read is from the Freeman side, and then Shelton.
The Truitt lineage is now added with Gramma names of Phillips, Brothers, and I found so many Phillips married Truitts. Mumford, Burton, Riley (2 sisters married a James Truitt, one after the sister passed on) and then the Progenitor of the Truitt's wife was Alice Watson.

These names from familysearch and CENSUS RECORDS for 1850 and newer.

The Greer Family TREE I have added to this site begins with my father, Herschel Lofton Taylor. So if you would like to trace OUR family do a "search" of his name and then click on his mother: Lula Greer-Taylor then click on her father Lemuel Greer and all the way up the LINE click on the FATHERS. When you get to James D GREER and wife Elizabeth you can trace either one cause they both wind up in the same spot. then the GREER's changed the name in Scotland from GRIERSON. Where a cuz of mine takes over the trace until he gets to Malcolm Dominus MacGregor, go to "search" again 116315176 to pick up and the name changes again, and again, and that's the way they did it. "mac" means "son of" then there is another break go to #117414831 to go on with the GREER TREE. Hope you enjoy it and if you have anything to add please let me know. ALL MY SOURCES HAVE BEEN LISTED.

The NEW TAYLOR Family LINKs are: "search" Herschel Lofton Taylor again, then go to his Dad, Clarence Lee-then his Father, William H.- -to Thomas Littlegrove- then there is a break (inactive) "SEARCH" 120955851 to John Peyton Taylor wife Mary C Davis=John Taylor & wife Ada Parker=Thomas Taylor = John Taylor & wife Eunice (brother to Ann Taylor-GREER) -Arthur Taylor & wife Margaret Hill =John Taylor & wife Margaret Finney. THE END of that lineage Lichfield, Staffordshire England...

Most exciting is the new line that I have proof for now is the Lee lineage. My dad's fathers line is... Clarence Lee Taylor mother was Levisa A. Lee and her father was Morrison MItchell Lee and his father was Grissom, his was Richard, his was Hancock Lee II married to Mary Willis, and his Hancock Lee Sr married to Sarah Allerton, and then Sarah's father: Isaac Allerton JR. married to Elizabeth Willoughby, and his father Isaac Allerton SR married to Fear Brewster, Isaac SR was a Mayflower Pilgrim, and so was Fear Brewster's father. I have proof for all generations....

Just received the review findings from Mayflower Society. They have a researcher that has stated that "the son of Hancock Lee/Mary Willis died without getting married."
I do not agree, I have a marriage record for Richard Lee married to Elizabeth Scott and the birth place of Richard states VA. same as the birth place of the son of Hancock LEE and the birth year is also the same as what is stated in the Willis Bible pages. I realize there are lots of Richard Lee's out there but I also have a land note that puts Hancock Lee and Richard Lee together, it does not mention whether he is the son or a nephew?? but they are named together in the same general area...
So why is their info. more credible than what I have found?

Carole, The information I posted was in the book at the Blackwater Chapel cemetery book. I will be in Mo the spring sometime and will be happy to look into it further. You may also check on the Missouri state
cite. Good Luck. If I can find something I will let you know

Rhoda Basham Payne
Hi Carole,

I am contacting you to ask for the source of the information you are showing for William Angel and the grandparents, etc for Rhoda Basham Payne. William Angel and the Basham family are my ancestors and I am always looking for information on those families.

Thank you

I just posted a picture for him. Please see the caption on the lot card.

As for your comment about those that only post what they see. I take pictures and post them, make memorials as necessary. I am only going to post what I see. I have enough work to do on my own tree, I am probably not going to do anything on anyone elses. If I am provided with info I will be happy to add it, and even give them credit, because I did not do the work.

RE: 20938760
Carole I believe you are correct. Mr. Taylor was a member of the Mount Zion Church and had two family lots in the cemetery.

Will send a e-mail to FAC to identify the memorial in Missouri as a cenotaph.

Will also add my photo to your memorial and add in the caption where this marker is at.

I added what you sent on Christ Wainscott's brother.

But I am unsure if William H or John H is the younger brother.

RE: Rev. A.L. Manis
The last message was mistaken. I only took the grave picture and do not control the memorial.

Glad to be of help. I do not have connection so I would be happy if you would take this memorial. Just send me the number.

Hello Carole,
This is just a listing that I maintain received in a bulk transfer from the administrators for a contributor that was put off Find a Grave. I am more than happy to be transferring him to you and hope you will be able to research him further. That way when you do locate something, you can just add it to the page.
