I may be off the net for a while my computer went down and the laptop I am using is ify works when and if it wants to. So please be patient I will get the corrections done as soon as I can.

My name is Sharon Lee GARNER Lee. I am 67 years old. I live in Kiowa County, OK. At the present time I am working on posting, the Mountain View Cemetery-Mountain View, Kiowa, OK. I know I make mistakes, especially when I am tired. If you find any please let me know and I will correct it. Also, if you know maiden names of the females I have maiden names listed as Unknown, please let me know.

The Mountain View Cemetery--has been a project of mine for about 6-7 years now--taking pictures of the markers and collecting the obituaries, I also have some Funeral Home Memory cards-that where donated to my Cemetery research by Charles Stamp.

I am not the best photo taker. If the name and date are visable I go ahead and put the picture on. Pictures where taken with the help of my daughter Lorilie.

If you need to contact me please put FINDAGRAVE, in the subject line or I may think it is spam, and delete it.

Added 5/12/2011 I have had many mishaps during my time of trying to document the Cemetery. Lost pictures to Web pages being removed where I had saved pictures.

Lost block 4 to camera batteries being changed out with out removing the flash drive. So be patient. still working on them, just slower that I used to be.

All information I have for Mountain View Cemetery finally in 6/20/2011, if you find a correction that needs to be made or have further information on any family, links ect. Please let me know.

Added 2/27/2012
The last few weeks there has seen many corrections, with the grave marker pics and obits being put on FAG. Several people are taking pictures and as they are corrections and links are being done. So new information, is now available on many. As always a work in progress.

Archibald Stinson d1927
Hi Sharon. You have done an awesome job of detailing Arch Stinson. Thought you would like to know that his death was recorded by Iowa Byington Reed who kept a daily record of her life from 1872 to a couple of weeks before she died in Feb 1936. I am transcribing Iowa's diary for the Univ of Iowa website called DIYHistory. On 17 March 1927 she wrote that she had received a letter from Cousin Jen and enclosed were clippings (presumably from the newspaper at Mountain View) detailing his death in the automobile accident. I have also learned that Iowa had visited Arch and his wife many times. Iowa was born at Iowa City in 1851, and Arch, ten years her junior, may have been born there also. His wife's maiden name should be reported on her death certificate.

Hi Sharon, thank you for the update. It was a very exciting find! The family is not directly related so maybe hold onto them until a close relative asks to manage their memorials? Have a great day! Lee

RE: Maria Jane
Thank you for your kind reply and offer to xfer the memorial to me.

The portion of my tree that I'm working on, is the maternal line of my 1st Cousin. Larry Allen Schlegel, of Mustang, OK. He's still living. I've already got the Paternal line, as his Father is the Brother of my Mother.

Your welcome to xfer if you like, but I can see that the memorials in your care are blessed. I see the promptness with which you address addition of new information.

It's a true blessing to have people like you, that are passionate about their interests. So many people benefit from your efforts and contribution. Thank you so much.

I also feel that the perfection of my tree, even on lines of 1st cousins, is beneficial as so many people reference my public tree to build their own. My tree currently includes over 38,000 individuals, and my experience level helps insure against lineage mistakes. Sure I've got mistakes, but it's a far lower percentage than most.

I tell you, that what hooked me, had to do with my older sister. She's a 1/2 sister and her father was killed during WWII when she was only 4 years old. She was too young to remember, but did remember the Cemetery service and the presentation of the flag to her. My research discovered the entire story of him, and photographs.

His Memorial is 'Find A Grave Memorial# 65752710'. Anyway, the story, and the memorial touched the heart of my sister, and thus mine too. I've never looked back, and continue to devote a minimum average of 15 hours weekly. I guess it's my only 'Hobby' now. It's gratifying, and I feel meaningful.

So thank you for what you do, as so many benefit from you efforts.

Warm Regards,
Edward A. Mallang 3rd,
