My husband, John Kennedy & I started out visiting churches to make a picture of them and an over-all-view of their cemetery. John's sister told us about findagrave.com. We became interested.|
It is a wonderful site and we are trying to help others find their ancestors graves. Also we do not want to make mistakes as this will lead to someone going in the wrong direction to find the graves of their ancestors or loved ones.
If I have a monument photo, then the memorial I make is in that cemetery. I don't post memorials from other sources.
I am getting some request about some info I have added that someone says is wrong etc. The only things I have added, is through the edit button at top of my profile page. This has to be where the wrong info is coming from. Sorry.

You don't respond to my requests for transfers of memorials? Perhaps you just missed seeing them.

I just want to thank you for taking the pictures of the grave marker for Conrad Dula and his wife.
I live too far away from the cemetery to ever see their graves. Your time and effort is appreciated.

|J Calhoun||Sarah Calhoun (Sparks)|
I was unable to find information on my great, great grandmother, Sarah Sparks — who I was lead to believe was buried in Ronda, NC. Here is what I was told:
Loten McDonald Calhoun married Sarah Elizabeth Sparks, 24 January 1878 in Wilkes Co, North Carolina. Sarah was the daughter of Noah Sparks and Rachel McBride. Loten and Sarah had 4 children: Martha Elizabeth was born in 1879; John Cling was born in 1881; Nancy DeLana was born 1882; and a baby boy was born in 1885. Sarah died in childbirth as did that baby boy leaving Loten with three small children.
Sarah was buried at the farm on which they worked; later a factory bought the farm and the unmarked graves were moved to a cemetery in Ronda, NC (Wilkes Co).
I checked out the Ronda Cemetery (in Wilkes Co.) at findagrave.com but saw neither Sarah Sparks or a Sarah Calhoun buried there.
Is it possible that her grave is simply unmarked or not listed?
Thank you for any help you can give.

Thank you, this is so helpful. And thank you for the kindness with the transfers. You are a wonderful contributor. I find you a lot as I have worked on the Wilkes County background.
Have sent updates for you to Zeno and Virgil Ray Handy. They are uncles in my family and are brothers to Clarence E. Handy who is buried at Mt. Lawn. Since it appears you do a great deal of research at Walnut Grove, I wondered if you could find out if their other brothers were buried there: Lawrence and Warren? Sorry I don't have dates for them, but can do more family research. Lawrence and Warren fought in the War with Virgil. Parents are Reavis Handy (the senior) and Sina Hall Handy. I didn't know if you had Church records going back or relied on cemetery. Thanks for all you have contributed and your help.

Carol can you please also remove the cemetery photo from #17855299.

Carol, can you please delete the cemetery photo on this obituary #17855288. He was moved from the 'Crouse' cemetery to the 'Robert Lee Crouse' cemetery where he is buried. I posted his headstone and a picture of the graveyard. There are a lot of duplicates and people put in the wrong cemeteries. I would appreaciate you assistance in this matter. I appreaciate all that you do.

Thank you Carol for making the corrections on Winnie Marinda "Rinda" Spicer.
I made the update on the birth and death dates for Edna Colen Edmiston Ferguson as requested by her granddaughter Cynthia. Edna's three brothers were already linked to her memorial.
