Thank you to all the researchers who have told me that my work has helped them in some way. That is very important to me. I hope others who are able to take pictures and/or catalog cemeteries in the area where they live will do it. This is what this site is all about. Sharing with others who can't travel all over the country getting their family information.|
I love getting corrections, transfers, and link requests, but PLEASE DO IT FROM THE MEMORIAL PAGE as it is so much easier. It gives me all the info I need.....along with your request, of course! I will not do requests from the public message page. I am much too busy to look up the memorial to make the changes for you. DO ALL REQUESTS FROM THE 'EDIT' LINK ON THE INDIVIDUAL MEMORIAL PAGE!
Also, I've had quite a number of requests from people who think I also do free research. No, I don't. I take headstone photos and try to make sure cemeteries are complete and online. I have other hobbies. I don't do paid research either.
Happy Hunting, Kathy

Thank You so much for your expeditious transfer of the Memorial on Mary Cross Hargrave.
With Best Regards,
You have a Eliho, I think should be Elihu and he was born about the time you have...50 years earlier. Do you have any information on his immediate family. His daughter died in 1870 in Illinois and was married to my GGrandfather John P. Dipprey. I am unable to locate her in any Cemetery. She had a son in 1867 and went to live with grandmother, his wife in Nebraska. His name was Joshua Dipprey and he died in Seward County, NE. As well as his grandmother. His wife's name is Sussanah.
Any ifo you have on him is appreciated.

You're very kind. Bless you.

The grave of Julia Tew's mother, Mary Lona Preston, is in Eatonton, GA where I live. A tree has grown up next to the grave and will soon destroy the lovely marker if it is allowed to grown. I would love to save the marker but I must have permission from someone in the family for me to do any kind of work on this private grave. I noticed that Latitia Tew Leishman submitted info on Julia Tew and would like to talk to her as she is probably the next of kin. If you could help me locate Latitia Tew Leishman, it would save her great grandmother's marker. I can be reached at email@example.com or 706/485-6767. Your help is most important, thanks!

Thank you for the photo of Mary E. Small (herald) and William Small. They were originally from Oconto, Wisconsin. She was the daughter of Hugh and Nora Herald. The genealogy is posted online at Ancestry.com! She did visit home on occasion, they called her Nellie. My mother remembered stories about her even though she never met her.

Ok, thank you!

I'm looking for information on my Godwin family. Do you know if Benjamin Farabee might have had a daughter who married a William M. Godwin in North Carolina?

Love this site, it is so helpful. And thank you for all your volunteer work taking all the pictures that you do. You took pictures of the Columbus Cemetery in Columbus IL. I have spent several days searching for a ancestor buried there and finally found it today!! But the cemetery itself is horrible disrepair. Broken stones, missing stones, and the outer edges of the property are now engulfing many of the markers around the edges burying them in weeds, timber shoot trees, and so forth. So sad! It is one of the oldest cemeteries in Adams Co, IL and sadly falling apart, and efforts to turn it around seem to be hitting brick walls. Thank you for your efforts to aid in preserving these places of honor.

Considering the number of photos you've posted you may not remember the answer but I figure it doesn't hurt to ask. You posted a number of photos from Barnes Family Cemetery in Davidson County NC. I will be in NC in January to visit the grave of Junie Barnes (you posted a photo of his grave) but I can't find anything that tells where that cemetery is. Can you help?

|Antonio Reyes||Dillon Haworth|
Hi Kathy -
Dillon Haworth (1800-1882) was my 4th great grandfather and I noticed the following on his page: "Inscription:
h/o 1)Mary Martha Wright, 2) Mary L. Myers, s/o Geo. H.& Susannah Dillon Haworth, ae 81y 7m 19d". Is the genealogical information on his actual tombstone or was this information derived from an alternate source? If so, I would very much like to get a copy if possible.
