Bio Photo Hello,

Family history is something that has become very important to me in the last few years. Working on my family tree has become somewhat of an obsession lately. I can't bear the thought of my ancestors fading into the past, so I honor their memories here. Thanks for everyone else here who does the same!

Tony

I hear ethereal whispers, persuasive,
soft and still, "Daughter, if you don't
remember us, who will ?"

Moses Wilson
Yes, I got a little too excited on that one and quickly realized I had made an error and should have carefully followed the basic rules of good genealogy! I found "Mose" Wilson (spelled "Mode" on the marker) and immediately assumed he was our man and came home that night and posted the photo to his page and then saw the son Moses/Mose/Mode listed also and realized there was a father and son both with the same name and this was the new replacement stone for son Moses, not the daddy that you were wanting, so I quickly pulled it back down, but I guess you had already received a notification.

I was at Clay Sink for the pre-Easter clean-up and covered dish dinner. Always great to be with the folks there. I'll keep searching for daddy Moses and hopefully we will yet find his location and get him marked too. Hope you are well.

RE: Daniel Franklin Munn
You are so welcome. I'm glad I could help. While there are some unmarked graves close by, I could not find any Munn graves near Dr. Munn. I also checked my copy of "Headstones and Heritages" for Escambia County, Alabama, and he is listed as the only Munn in Flomaton Cemetery at that time. If I happen to come across any, I will let you.
Have a great weekend,

Sarah Odell - Age 4, or 94?
Hi Tony,

This is about this memorial page:

http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=39127200

First, it says:

"Informations says aged 4 years."

Then, "Possibly this is Sarah Odell Duckett, aged 94 years."

The late Sharon Doliante, in her book, "Maryland and Virginia Colonials," (Genealogical Publishing, 1991) stated that a local resident (cousin of hers) had read that inscription and it read, "aged 94 years." She was convinced, at the time of publication of that book, that this was indeed the burial place of Sarah (Odell) Duckett.

So what's the story with "aged 4 years"?

Westview photo requests
Hello

I would like to help you find your photo request at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta.

Westview is massive the largest cemetery in the whole Southeast. Would you please help me by calling the cemetery office at 404-755-6611 to find out whether the grave is marked with a monument or marker or both AND what the section and lot numbers are.

Then I will gladly look.

The office is reluctant to give out that information to non-relatives.

Thanks

Phil

RE: David Franklin Jackson
Jackson and Nicholson names are also more common in the Tennille area. If you do not have a death certificate, you might wish the contact the Troy Library and request a search for an obituary.
