Bio and Links
Bio Photo Mayflower Connection: I descend from the following
Degory Priest, Francis Eaton, John Alden,Priscilla Mullins, Myles Standish, Peter Brown, Francis Cooke, George Soule, Isaac Allerton, Richard Warren, through my father, Member 27436, Society of Mayflower Descendants.

My uncle, Carl Glee Smith Jr is memorialized at Manila American Cemetery and Memorial in the Philippines. His life was lost during Typhoon Cobra, December 18, 1944 when three ships went down, USS Hull, USS Monaghan and his ship the USS Spence. I have attempted to leave notes at each of the memorials for the 793 sailors who lost their lives that day. I also see many other memorials that no one has left flowers or honored them, I am also honoring those as I have time. There are over 44,033 memorials at that cemetery. May God bless the thousands of families who suffered loss during WW II.

I am attempting to link many of Smith burials in an effort to help those who are just starting their family search venture. Descending from four Smith branches is a challenge. At the present time, I am linking Smiths from several states from Vermont, New York,Ohio to Illinois, Nebraska and Kansas. From Virginia through Kentucky to Arkansas. From Georgia, Arkansas to Texas.

In addition, I am documenting my Jones from New Hampshire, through Ohio, Illinois to Nebraska.

A few of my family lines are Blatherwick, Farrow, Gilbert, Wood, Kelsey, Evans, Blake, Cady, Watkins, Stewart, McCormick, Jones, Stiles, McDermott, Hoffman, Smith, Black, Brazle, Roth, Martin, Cole, Morgan, Oswalt

If you use my personal photos, please give me credit for the photo, this includes family photos posted as well as cemetery photos. Thank you.

I will consifer transferring memorials that are your direct family, but not my family line. I am not into numbers and am happy to share my work. I love to link family members and to know a bit about the person.

RE: Photo Request Completed
You're welcome. It was a beautiful day to be out wandering around getting some exercise and fulfill some requests.

RE: Mamie Languell
I've never had that privilege, but would enjoy it sometime in the future if we're ever out that way.

Thanks also for Mamie's tombstone photo, which was "perfectly" taken and "posted." You do very nice work.

Hi Vickye,
I appreciate you calling the correct spelling to my attention. Also the link for Isaac, which has been added.

Hi Vickye,
You are very kind to let me know where she is buried and give me the opportunity to transfer her memorial. I have requested a photo of her tombstone so that you will get credit.

Nathan B. Essary
Hi, I see you have added Nathan and Janes son to Walpole cemetery, Find A Grave Memorial# 142120389. Do you have any information on exactly where his burial plot is located? And do you know where i would be able to find the cemetery spread sheet? i am in the process of replacing Nathan's and Jane's tombstones and I would like to place a marker for Nathan Benjamin in the future. Walpole cemetary is in very bad repair, i want to perserve my family history.
I am a direct decendant of Nathan and Jane.
God Bless, Terry Duncan

RE: Van Tuyl. Memorials
You are welcome to contact me anytime you wish. I am going to take a picture for you of the Van Tuyl House here in Carlisle. In front of the house is the original stone block used when mounting horses or stepping into a buggy. I have always admired the house and the hitching post.

Transfer of VanTuyl Memorial
Vickye, I tried to delete one of the memorials for you, then realized I could not do it because I had already changed administration to you. LOL

To be honest, I have never had to merge two or more memorials. I have had a couple of memorials where a year or so after I had already listed them, someone else listed the memorials a second time. Good luck!

You're a great trooper, Vickye...always happy to help you...wish I could figure out the odd turn of pictures, but glad to get all righted ~ :)

RE: Wood memorials
You are very welcome. My cousin, Mark McCrady, lives there and I (in Oklahoma) am doing the desk work while he goes out and takes the photos of the stones. So if you see one you would like a picture of make sure you put in a photo request. He lives close and does them as long as there isn't snow on the ground!
