| Bio and Links | [Special Note: I have entered into the findagrave records many memorials of former acquaintances, childhood friends, etc., and strangers. I would be happy to alter or remove any of these entries if requested to do so by anyone who is or was closer to the deceased than I, and/or is willing to update, expand, or correct these memorials, or otherwise improve the entry.]
Bio. Info.: Since my retirement in 1999 at the age of sixty nine, I have been increasingly pursuing an interest in geneology. I am fascinated by geneology and the lives of our predecessors. Their stories show much tribulation, and great courage and strength. I hope to honor them by narrating their true stories as well as I can, and including some of the 'not so good' events as well as the good. I believe that all family stories are quite interesting and important when told in all detail and truthfulness.
In general, I believe our ancesters led much more difficult and much less pleasant lives than we. I find this humbling. Indeed, quite possibly their successes may be a greater accomplishment than our present day ones.
It shocks me, how extreme our advancement in modernity is when compared to the way of life of only one or two hundred years ago. Comparatively, the pleasantness and ease of our lives is astounding.

 | John White at Lowville Cemetery Hi Bill, I have photographed and posted the images of the John A. White stone from Lowville Cemetery. Buried to the left of the stone is David A. White and on the right is Emery Phillips. I hope this helps, best wishes, Jon | | | Joyce
 | Lafayette (Medina County) Hi Bill, I notice that there are 18 photo requests for this cemetery. It looked to me as if you had photographed all the legible stones in the cemetery and placed them on Find A Grave. If that is the case - I was hoping you could mention that in the 'report a problem' link on those photo requests. That would prevent someone from going out, getting permission, and searching for a grave that doesn't have a stone - or isn't legible enough to photograph.
Thanks, Joyce.Added by Joyce on Jan 04, 2010 6:57 AM | | | Mark D. Musil

 | Truman/Trumain/Tremain Hi Bill,
The last name for Solomon, as well as many of his ancestors and descendants has many variations. He is in the census as Truman, Truerman, Tremain, Trumain and probably some I forgot. His wife Lodema's grave is also spelled Trumain. Most later references refer to him as Truman though. Anyway, I don't know if that helps any...it's not any "proof"...but I'm convinced it's the same person. So, thanks again!Added by Rachael on Sep 02, 2008 9:01 PM | | | wfork

 | Whitehaven Cemetery Hello Bill,
Thank you for the kind words. When I was at the cemetery, the caretaker was mowing the grass right near the grave of the Trauns. He inquired if I was family and that is how I found out about Marcia having no marker. He expressed to me he was a childhood friend of hers.

 | Harry Stranahan Bill,
I believe Harry's marker was in a Stranahan family plot. I took several pictures that day and I may be getting it confused. If needed, I can double check and take more photos.
