I find copying headstones interesting, I like finding interesting people with interesting story's. Most my family buried in the greater Philadelphia area but I live in the Harrisburg area so I'll copy headstones here. Worked inside most my life and wanted to be outside after I retired so copied headstones and published them in the Quarterly once issued by the Capital Area Genealogical Society.|
Please use 'edit' tab on memorial page for corrections and or additional information.
I now strictly adhere to the Find A Grave guidelines regarding transfers. No exceptions. Requests made that fall outside of the guidelines, or do not state relationship, are no longer being acknowledged. Virtual cemeteries are the way to "gather" your ancestors together.
Please don't justify an out-of-guideline transfer request for the sake of adding links and/or other information. Am perfectly capable of doing this, especially now with the new EDIT system - much quicker than transferring. If you decide to not forward information or links because a transfer isn't done, then that's your decision.

|Karen W||Ruth A Chamberlin|
I tried to look through your messages to see if this grave photo was taken in response to a request. I am looking for a Ruth A. Chamberlin, who was originally from Williamsport, PA, but I do not know anything about her family. The dates for your RAC are approximately what I would expect for the one I am looking for.
Did relatives of your RAC request the photos?

|Tiffany Herb||Isaac D. Steel|
Hello Robert, thank you for posting the information about Isaac D. Steel. He is my Great Great Grandfather. I have been researching him for a long time, and its nice to know the height, eyes and hair. How did you find that out? I have been trying to find who his father is and have had no success. Looking for any leads I can get. Thanks Robert, Tiffany
Mr. Viguers, Do you happen to know the connection between the Emma Stephenson and the Allemans buried in the Alleman Cemetery by Strite's?
|Dave Keeney||RE: Jacob S. Hetrick|
Thanks. It's all very confusing with these similar names and different spellings within the family. He may have been married twice which adds to the confusion.
|Dave Keeney||Jacob S. Hetrick|
I'm confused about two memorials for Jacob S. Hetrick both born in 1867. In memorial# 40225695 you show the calculated relationships of Henry Hetrick as father & Sarah Hoover Hetrick as mother. In memorial 55597889, Jacob S. Hetrick, I found a death certificate showing the same mother & father and the wife as Lydia.
|Family Tree Climber||Mary Mentzer at Prospect Hill, Newville|
In reply to the SAC you sent, Mary was first married to Mentzer, then to Fickes. I posted death certificate to show her maiden name was McIvor. I did change the spelling from McIver to McIvor. Thanks!

Thank you for your response I'll do a little more digging to see if I can find more detail
|Dr. J The Seeker||Infant Son Feidt|
Find A Grave Memorial# 67835084.Are the dates of his birth and death found on a stone?
I ask because his brother David E. Feidt, buried at Oak Hill Cemetery, was born 14 Feb 1844. And the baby, Infant Son, would have had a name by age 11 months 12 days. Other factors, such a prematurity, are also going on my brain.
