Bio Photo I am a member of Daughters of the American Revolution, the Jamestowne Society, Descendants of the Signers of the Declaration of Independence, the National Huguenot Society, and the Colonial Dames of the 17th Century. I just love researching family histories. I taught Jr. High English in the public schools for fourteen years. I was an Elementary Counselor and a librarian for fifteen years.

I would love your contributions to the pages I've added. I especially want pictures of the people I have listed here. I am taking pictures of all the tombstones in my area in order to preserve family histories for future generations, especially those who wish to join DAR and other societies. I want to honor these people and truly wish for them to be "Gone but Not Forgotten." I want to create a page for each person with pictures and biographical information. My DAR webpage is at

RE: Samuel & Susan Williams
It's sad that people let cemeteries get in such bad conditions. You really did a lot to try and find a grave marker.

Thanks Linda for trying to find his headstone. I figure he is one of the family that couldn't or didn't place a stone. Do you, by any chance know who might be in charge of Burnett. Maybe they have a plot map. Just grasping at straws here.

Thanks again

RE: Charles V Dixon
You are correct, those are not the same Dixons. The one I have interest in is Memorial# 11060327. I think he and Emma Hensley divorced shortly after their marriage in 1907. My interest is in finding info on Emma Hensley and my hope was that by finding more info on Charles V Dixon would lead to Emma. I believe she was married several times.

Emma P Hensley married Charles V Dixon in Miller County, Missouri on May 26, 1907. Emma is related to Joseph T and Tabitha (Jarrett) Hensley, and Charles is related to Thomas J and Melcena (Abbett) Dixon. Both the Dixon family and the Hensley family were living in Osage Township, Miller County, Missouri in the 1900 census.

Emma P may be Emma Olive and she may have used the name of Helen. Any help is appreciated.
