I am a member of Daughters of the American Revolution, the Jamestowne Society, Descendants of the Signers of the Declaration of Independence, the National Huguenot Society, and the Colonial Dames of the 17th Century. I just love researching family histories. I taught Jr. High English in the public schools for fourteen years. I was an Elementary Counselor and a librarian for fifteen years. |
I would love your contributions to the pages I've added. I especially want pictures of the people I have listed here. I am taking pictures of all the tombstones in my area in order to preserve family histories for future generations, especially those who wish to join DAR and other societies. I want to honor these people and truly wish for them to be "Gone but Not Forgotten." I want to create a page for each person with pictures and biographical information. My DAR webpage is at www.mssdar.org/noahcole.

Just wanted to thank you for posting my dad's gravesite marker. I haven't made it to Missouri lately to see it. Thanks again!

No. No inscription. I took some better pics with my DSLR and will post those once I get them transferred to my Mac. Hopefully they'll show things a little more clearly!

You are welcome. I try to sponsor my direct ancestors who are not already sponsored. It is my way of honoring those who came before us. Regards, Linne

I would love to, Linda! It seems like there should be a Bastardy Bond somewhere for her, as well, perhaps it is lost forever. Such a frustrating mystery!

I've noticed you've done so much work on this family. I was wondering if there was any new information on who might be the father of Isabell's daughter, Achsa (Axie, Ettie). She is in my line and would very much like to confirm who her father is) and if Michael Vestral was her father, as well as Obediah's).

I have her obit and she is suppose to be buried at Mount Pisgah cemetery, Texas Co. Mo. NO STONE I am guess, since she is not listed. There is a DC --her name is Temprance M. Hogan on the DC. Her parents were William H.& Laura Williams Hicks. She is not listed as their child on Find A Grave. She was born 30 Jul 1894 and died 14 Aug 1935. She married John B. Hogan 5 Jun 1916. I have tried to tie John in with my husband's family but NO luck. I will give the Obit to Carloyn Tillford. Sheila
