I started adding memorials to Find A Grave because I believe that everyone should be remember, even if there's no one left to mourn. |
I'm using cemetery records to add memorials to Find A Grave. I'm also adding headstone photos, obituary transcriptions, and family links when possible.
If you have any questions, want to add any information or links, or correct any information, please use the 'Edit' to send the request. It makes it so much easier.
With permission, obituaries on the memorials that I've created have come from published obituary books written by the now late Wendell Tombaugh and Jean Cragun Tombaugh.

Probably the best thing to do would be to put a note in the biographies of both. I'll type something up for my Uncle Luther; you can cut and paste it into Anna's, if you like.
I think if we have something explaining the circumstances, it would be best to leave the link, just in case it is correct. Perhaps some tidbit of info will surface in the years to come that will clarify everything.

Thanks for your reply. I've been checking high and low for a photo of Mr. Carr and hoped that by clicking photo someone would have one. I understand the policy better now. I do appreciate your note.

I believe Ella was either an illegitimate daughter of Effie Johnson (Nee Alley) or she was an adopted daughter of Effie and husband Wiley Johnson.

Hi April, I was wondering if you have any info on Rebecca Bates Gurney Emerson who died in 1838 in Rochester, Fulton County. Her husband Elias Emerson is buried in Plymouth's Fairmont Cemetery but I didn't come across her stone or it was too worn to read. Hope you can help. Kim

Thank you April, for your time and efforts. His death will remain a mystery to me and mine. His wife and children lived on in Fulton County, IN for the rest of their lives and some still reside there. I have found no mention of David Moon AT ALL, Only his daughter and her spouse and children. I hope that when I pass into the next life, that I am not totally forgotten.
Thank You Again,
in the family picture I have a picture of the older lady in the chair with the little boy sitting beside her never knew she was related to me until I got on find a grave she was married to my g-grandfather Phyllis (Ross) England

My name is Leah Moon-Williams. My Ggg grandfather was a David Moon. I think this could be his headstone, Find A Grave Memorial# 82887803. I was wondering if anyone has done a rubbing of this stone or if one could be done. I know the records from back then are none or nil in most cases, but I would appreciate any help with this info.

This grave is actually across the road in the Richland Center Citizens cemetery, and a memorial has been made for it there.
