Bio Photo I am a member of Daughters of the American Revolution, the Jamestowne Society, Descendants of the Signers of the Declaration of Independence, the National Huguenot Society, and the Colonial Dames of the 17th Century. I just love researching family histories. I taught Jr. High English in the public schools for fourteen years. I was an Elementary Counselor and a librarian for fifteen years.

I would love your contributions to the pages I've added. I especially want pictures of the people I have listed here. I am taking pictures of all the tombstones in my area in order to preserve family histories for future generations, especially those who wish to join DAR and other societies. I want to honor these people and truly wish for them to be "Gone but Not Forgotten." I want to create a page for each person with pictures and biographical information. My DAR webpage is at

RE: Fanny Palmer
Did you phone East Akron? I meant to go over there on Sunday and recheck the area near the daughter's grave, but I got busy and didn't make it. Maybe next weekend I can get by there.

Fanny Palmer
Hello again,

I linked Fannie to her father, but not to her mother, since you said yourself on the memorial that you do not really know where she is buried.

We do not even know for certain that Stephen is buried at Middlebury; he IS listed on the OGS's publication for that cemetery, but they do not list an actual source. Some of the entries came from old tombstone readings; others were taken from additional, but less reliable, sources. It is too bad that the OGS did not list a separate source for each entry - it would have been helpful.

Since Fanny was buried at East Akron, in 1856, I think it is much more likely that her mother is there, rather than Middlebury. Middlebury was "closed" in 1853, although a few later burials were made after that date.

Why don't you call East Akron and ask about both Sarah and Stephen? Even if he was originally buried at Middlebury, he may have been moved.

Let me know what you find out.

re: Guths in Glendale
Hello Linda,

I would be happy to add any additional info that you send on the Guths. I updated a few of the entries on my own and linked them.

I have just investigated this "problem" and discovered I had correct cemetery name, but wrong county! I am so sorry for your trouble. Thanks for your efforts!

Hello cousin,
Hi Linda, thank you for adding the wonderful information about Elizabeth Savery Eddy to her memorial page! She's my 10th great grandmother, so we're cousins! If you're on I'd love to share family info with you. Thank you again for the information about our ancestor, it's so important to keep their memory alive isn't it?

I'm trying to catch up and I don't think that I thanked you properly for sending me the photo. Thank you so much for your kindness in doing it.
