|Steph ||RE: Victor Ladwig|
No way! Thank you so much! My house is out of city limits, so the information I've found is limited, it seems. What a great bit of info! I've checked some of the census records, too. So interesting! I did not realize he lived in town (College Ave.) and rented a farm. Someone told me that was not uncommon. My house is about 8 or 10 miles from downtown. My address is: 5101 NCR 9 in Fort Collins. It used to be (I think) Route 2 or Rural Route 2. There used to be a well, a windmill, and an outhouse! The well is still there, but not the other two. I have deeds dating back to the Patent to the Union Pacific Railroad from the US, but there is where a lot of the records stop. The deeds suddenly mention a structure/house, but the date is well after we think the house was built. I know Ladwig was from W. Virginia. I think Jacob Fisher was, too. I wonder if they knew each other before coming here! Such an interesting mystery! Thank you so much for your attention! I know you must be so busy!

|Steph ||Researching my house|
Hello! I'm not related to anyone on this page, but Victor Ladwig's name has come up a few times as someone who used to own the property my house is on. It was built (we think) around 1902 and I've been researching it on and off for years. I was wondering if anyone could let me know anything about him if they might be related somehow to him? There are quite a few other names related to Mr. Ladwig's and my house. I'm not certain Mr. Ladwig even lived in my house, but I'm trying to find out who actually built it. It is in Fort Collins, Colorado, and your website is fascinating to me and the possibility that I might learn a little about those involved in our small farm's beginnings is amazing! Jacob Fisher is another name that has come up and he and Victor Ladwig owned a grocery store in Fort Collins...I think. My research is still in-progress. Thank you so much for this website and any, any information you might be able to throw my way!

|Justin Brunes||We are cousins!|
I am the Great-Grandson of your cousin Wilbern Akers (1892-1976) -- I saw that you left flowers alongside a comment on his grave. He was the son of John A Akers (1857-1893) & Mary A Isenhower (1860-1936). Would you happen to have photographs of this branch of the family? It is on my mother's side and has been difficult to find information. I know far, far more about my father's side.
|Janet Evans||Grace Sarah Dye Drake|
This was my grandmother. She had 11 children. You do not have them all listed. Boys - Thompson, Isaac, Clayton, James and Miles. Girls - Birtie, Beulah, Catherine, Edna, Evelyn, and Olive. If you need additional information I can send it to you. I am researching the Dye/Dey and Drake families. My grandfather Clayton Bunn Drake was also buried in the Same Cemetery.
Thought you might like to know.
