I have been doing genealogy for 35 years now. I started doing cemeteries about 15 years ago. Surnames: Bolon, Mead, Short, Strobel, Clausen, Bounds, Woodman, Fontaine, Bissonnet, Drouillard, Robert, Valiquet, Terrien, DuPuis and Berg.
Husbands Lines: Portmann from Switzerland, Mitchell, Carbaugh, Longstreth and Winebrenner from Pennsylvania.
Please include your relationship to the memorial and member number for transfers. If they are not my family I will seriously consider transferring to a family member.
I filmed all of Mountain View Cemetery in Connell WA., May 2011.
Pleasant View Cemetery, Mondovi, WA has also been filmed, May 2011. Filmed additional monuments added in May of 2013 and May of 2014.
Saint Antoine Cemetery Monroe county Michigan. I am currently working on updating this cemetery. I used Denissen's and Souls of St. Antoine Cemetery for my research on this cemetery. Please seek your own documentation for cemeteries. Find A Grave is a starting place. Records can be wrong, but they do help us find a starting place. Happy to share records for this cemetery. March 2013.
Please verify what you take as we all make mistakes even thou we try to be accurate.

Lawn 16 is a hard lawn to do. So few stones, so many buried stones. I try not to use information from Family Trees unless that is all that is available. I mainly look at Family Trees to find out how the people in that family are related to each other. But sometimes it is all that is available and when their are several Family Trees for the same person and the information is not conflicting Then I will use it. Unfortunately the spelling on WSDA is horrible so finding a person ther is sometimes not easy. (the spellings are what the reporting person gave them after the fact.
|Rick Valentine||RE: Herman Koppe|
Anita: Their are 7 Family trees on Ancestry for Hermann Koppe. (all 7 verify birth and death dates. Also World War I and World War II draft registrations for him. The Cemetery records show a April 17, 1964 burial date. Looks like the death date came from the family trees.
When I do Photo Requests for the walkways the stones (if any) are in groups of 4. The other 3 in this group are Kathryn Smith #141958327, Emmett Ball #141958328 (has a photo) and Jacob William Hokanson #709366465 (he is one of your pages). I will look for stones for all 4 because they are very close together. If you would rather I did not add information for Jacob Hokanson I will not.
I have the burial record for all of Lawn 16, they show burials by location not by name, they also show age and burial dates.
I also have a map of Lawn 16 showing the locations off all existing exposed stones, that's how I know if I will have to dig to find a stone or not.
|Mary Mead||Amos Mead|
Amos Mead is buried near Sylvester, my great grandfather, b. 1856 in OH, but I don't know the connection. Our family is estranged from the Mead side of things and we have no records. I see Sylvester in the census with his brothers Cutler and Warren and mother Violet (Valletta? Lingo Mead/Meed/Meeds) in Ohio but no mention of a father. I haven't found Sylvester's death certificate yet, either. His brother Warren died in Hector, PA in 1923 and lists his father as Sylvester. Amos' death certificate lists his father as Philip. Do you know the relationship? Could you point me in the right direction?
|Rick Valentine||RE: Jack Stewart|
Anita: His middle names came from a Family Tree on Ancestry.com. The tree belongs to Dawn Lewis http://person.ancestry.com/tree/64214238/person/46272486223/facts
I am working on adding burials on Lawn 11 at Fairmount and found his parents buried there. I added pages for them.

|P_Teeters||RE: Sabina Forney|
My name is Paula (Teeters) Parkinson. I am not sure why the maiden name was spelled wrong. Maybe just a mistake. I am related to Sabina as my great grandfather Jacob Martin Teeter was her brother. My 2nd great grandfather, Jacob William Teeter, is Sabina's father. The name Teeter was originally Dietrich (German). Later it was shortened to Deeter or Teeter. My grandfather added the "S" to Teeter because everyone said it that way.
If you look here , under Samuel Forney just below Sabina, you will find that he married Sabina Deeter or Teeter.
I hope this helps.

I see your point of not knowing exactly where Amos was born in that land area. Do you mind putting in Great Nine Partners ?
I missed you this past July, I was in Owego for a week during the later part of August. Any way, if you saw his grave you weren't that far from his grand daughter's grave - Julia Frances (Hayes) Purple. I think I already told you how I am related to them, Julia's mother was Mary Ann (Mead) Hayes.
About 3 years ago I had Julia and he husband's stones "freshened up" after almost 100 years of wear. Too bad Amos' stone is not in such great shape. Maybe in a few years we can have their stones repaired ?
I visit Owego from time to time, I have relatives that still live there. I plan to go back next Spring for an extended visit.
I saw Clausen in your list of families. I am related to some Clausons because Julia's sister Helen married Albert Clauson, son of Elias and Elizabeth.
Thank you so much for visiting my son Nathan Shelton's memorial and the sweet message! it was very kind of you to take the time! It helps to ease the pain knowing others are willing to take a moment to give a kind word!
