Bio and Links
Bio Photo Hello, Thank You for visiting! This site has been a tremendous library for me and is helping me track down long deceased relatives & other people of interest. I am familiar with the resting places within New Haven County. Drop me a line if I can be of any assistance. I have an interest in Fair Haven as well as immigrants from Italy who settled in the New York, New Haven area.I also try to pay tributes to all my Brother & Sister Officers who persished either in the line-of-duty or natural causes. What began as a family entity has now evolved into a passion. If you find one of your friends or relatives that I have posted and would like me to add a bio for that person, I would be more than happy to add it here.**Note** If you made it this far, please visit my "Flowers Please" virtual cemetery and plant a flower. Thank You

M. Alcott Miller
I am so sorry, I have to correct what I just sent you! lol! I have a terrible head cold and things are not going straight today. The Joseph Alcott I was referring to is Joseph Bronson Alcott, not Joseph V. Alcott. And he is buried in FAIR HAVEN UNION CEMETERY. Hope this was not to much of a bother. I am straight now! lol

Buella M. Alcott Miller
Son of Italy,
Thank you for posting some of my cousins, the Alcott's from New Haven. I do have a correction for you that you probably didn't realize. Buella M. Alcott (103900392), wife of William George Miller, was the daughter of Joseph V. Alcott and his wife LOTTIE BUELLA FIELD, not Mary A. Alcott. Mary was Joseph's sister. Her name was Mary Angeline Alcott 1865-1948 and she never married. Mary's # is 103891709. Lottie was born in 1878 in New Haven but I have not been able to find when she died and she does not seem to be in Find A Grave.

Geneva Halliday and Bessie Halliday
Thank you so much for the beautiful tributes to Geneva Halliday and her mom Bessie. They are my cousins. Thank you for these precious links to their gravesites.

Also, I am curious, do you know anything about Bessie's husband/Geneva's dad, who is Herbert Halliday? I have tried to find information on his resting place but could not locate anything. I am also not sure if he is buried in the same cemetery. He was born about 1894.

Thank you so very much again!

Westville Cemetary - Emily Nadeau
Thank you so very much for taking pictures. I have been searching for my great grandmother for years. Her trail runs "cold" in 1934 in Lockport, New York. Can't believe she was "under my nose" all the years I lived in Connecticut.

I now need to ask a favor of you. All I can find out from the City of New Haven is that the Westville Cemetary is a City owned cemetary. No one in the City of New Haven has any idea who I can contact about this Cemetary to obtain a map with the location of my gg-mother's and gg-father's grave site.

When you have an opportunity is that something you might be able to send to me? I dont even have any idea how large this cemetary is, so I dont even know if you can re-trace your steps, if it is a huge cemetary and your not sure, dont worry about it, next time I am down I will spend a day or two looking for them.

Thank you for your work, it means a lot !!

Fannie Ludington ONION
You're very welcome!

The mystery I'm trying to figure out is how she is connected to the PINDELLs in Maryland. Why else would she be buried with my ancestors?

Fannie Ludington ONION
I came across a mystery, which might also be someone else's "brick wall".

I found burial records for Fannie Ludington ONION in Maple Area, Lot 32, of Green Mount Cemetery, Baltimore, Maryland. She is buried with my PINDELL ancestors but it is unclear how she is related to the PINDELLs.

Subsequent research turned up that she is the daughter of Jane Adeline (BALL) Ludington and John Bliss Ludington. She was also involved with the Daughters of the American Revolution and her son, George Franklin ONION, was a member of the Sons of the American Revolution.

If anyone is searching for Fannie Ludington ONION and is wondering where she "disappeared" to, I know where she is now.
