Fonda's in Crescent Union Cemetery
Hi Mark. I found a couple of monoliths in the above cemetery. These people were moved from Cohoes in 1890 to make a park. I have posted them in the cemetery.

re: Medora Barrett Fonda
Greetings:

I have added the photo to her memorial page. She is buried in a plot with her second husband, Benjamin Barrett. He has no page as yet. I took a photo of his headstone as well. Will you be making a page for him?

I made the correction on Thankful (Higby) Fonda, However the two Gertrude Effie Fonda memorials #91923222 and #91924393 are not mine.

RE: Henry J. Fonda, Walnut Ridge
Remember, the information is only as good as the person giving the information. Bessie his wife gave the information for the death record. I do not know who gave the information to the engraver of the stone. I forward you the content of the death record as a help. However, I have known death records simply to be wrong. But at least you can quote the source and let others draw there own conclusions. As to dates from the 1900 census, they are at best suspect because the question of how old someone was at the time of the census and how it was interrupted by the census taker vary from who was answering the question to the census taker's understanding of the given information. Glad you enjoyed the information.

George Fonda
Yes, George probably did die in 1925, not 1940. I do take photos at Mt. Pleasant and there is at least one other volunteer who does. Maybe if the death date is resolved, you don't need a photo, but if you still want one, why not put in a request for a photo? It will be spring or summer before anyone gets there, most likely.

Thank you so much for sending this to me. I've added to her bio. We never knew much about her, so this information was really wonderful to get. Always happy to receive anything like this.
