Thank you for the photo. This is a new branch to our family tree. How hard is it to find grave locations without plot locations? Do ask at the office for plots locations? I will probably have more relatives buried in this cemetery. I haven't worked a lot with cemeteries in the Janesville area.
Ellen Welch Wow, Tracker John, I did not expect you to go back to the cemetery! That was really kind of you. It's a great photo--- perfect--- exactly what I wanted to see. I purchased the stone but I didn't know how it was laid out in relation to the rest of the family. Thank you so much for your effort and your volunteer work. I really, truly appreciate it! Molly
Thank you so much for being willing to take the photo.
I know that there are already photos on Ellen Welch's memorial. However, I just paid to have a stone put on her grave--- there wasn't one purchased when she died in 1948. The cemetery took a photo of the stone I purchased when they set it on her grave, and they gave me permission to use the photo on Find a Grave.
However, I don't live in Janesville, and I want to see where the stone is in relation to the other family members' stones.
I had requested a photo of the entire plot--- the photos of the family plot that I have on the memorial are old ones from when Ellen did not have a stone. I will take them down when there is a photo of the plot WITH Ellen's stone.
I am going to put up another request with the same message I had on the one you took down--- that I need a new photo of the whole plot. Please don't take my new request down again. Maybe someone else will be willing to fulfill it.
Thank you so much for your volunteer work and for attempting to help with this. All the best, Molly
RE: Thank you ! I'd be honored to take it, John, although she's not direct-line (just a cousin) - just so you know. I suppose I can do some family links, dig up her obit and places of birth & death, etc.... I have found news articles about she and her immediate family which provide a good picture of her family and social life, which might also make a nice bio. Many thanks for your generous offer, and of course, for all the great photos you provide to us all.
Jacobs Thanks so much for the Jacobs father and son headstone photos, John. I know how much time and effort this work takes, so I truly appreciate what you do for me and other Find A Grave members. JMo
Thanks ! Thanks for the excellent Hendron headstone photos at Oak Hill cemetery which you posted today. The photos are a nice addition to the memorials. I sure do appreciate your personal time taken to do this for me.
Hyde and Brittan After doing more research, I have added notions for four deleted listings, all being within the Hyde and Brittan families. I wanted photos of the duplicate names to prove whether the listings were incorrect. It was not exactly a quick fix but the photo did put me on the right path. If you care to comment on additional information on their pages, I would certainly appreciate your views.
I now will start from the beginning, looking for more similar duplicate names in the database. As with four found to date in the records, I am sure there are more.
