I went to the Janesville courthouse, and her death certificate shows that she was buried at Turtleville. Then I went to Hanson funeral home but no one was there. Besides confirming that they handled the arrangements and reconfirming the imformation on the death certificate, I wondered if there was a chance that they may have possibly recorded plot information.

Her death certificate is #33467 and lists the cemetery as Shopiere. Her obit was in the Beloit News 7 Feb. 1949, page 3.

I also have a death certificate for her husband , Wm. which also lists the cemetery as Shopiere.
I will enter him in Find A Grave tomorrow.

I hope this helps.

Thanks for your message. Please check Find A Grave#
138476558 for her obit. Maybe the funeral home would have a record, is there more than one cemetery in Shopiere?

RE: Charles E. Miller Turtleville
I added Sarah Glazier and Charles Miller to the cemetery per info I had from our Family Book. It says that "Charles succeeded his father Cornelius on the old homestead. James Winegar informed us that both Charles and his wife Sarah later went to Janesville and both are buried at Turtleville, Rock County, Wisconsin." I realize that info from family books are not always correct. I will continue to search and check with other family members. I will leave this as is for the time being. Any change on your end, let me know. Thanks Irv Miller #47749375

Datus & Mamie Crotsenberg
Dear Kathy,

I'm not sure if it was you that I was corresponding with before, but earlier this year I had asked for someone to look into their grave sites, but after several attempts with the cemetery and no luck, I never heard back after that.

Yes, they did spell their name BERG rather than BURG and it's on both of their death certificates. I have death certificates for each of them as well as the funeral home info sheet for Datus and the memorial card for Mamie both of which show that they were buried at Shopiere. At this point I just have their memorials listed as "unmarked graves".

My great aunt's full name was Mary Gladys (Wright) Crotsenberg but she went by the nickname Mamie. Datus' full name was Datus Edward Crotsenberg. Thank you so much, if you give me your email address I will be happy to send copies of those documents to you!

Best regards & Merry Christmas!
