Charles Dillon info
Hello, I believe some of the info posted for Charles Dillon in Mt Olivet Cem is incorrect. He was a Civil War vet but the date of birth would have him 13 y.o when it ended. Also, are you certain of the date of death? I have it as 5/1/1908. Thanks - Dean Knudsen

Birth: Oct., 1852
Glasgow City, Scotland
Death: Jun. 19, 1930, USA

Enlisted as a farrier, on October 3, 1862, at age 37, in Company B, 6th Iowa Cavalry, War of the Rebellion. Resident of Pin Oak, native of Ireland. Mustered out October 17, 1865, at Sioux City, Iowa.

Gertrude Hurst
Can you make a correction on this grave, please. I posted a death notice with the correct information. This Gertrude Hurst is Fred's wife, not his sister. Parents are George and Phoebe Ashley Alden, not William K. and Augusta Kiel Hurst. Fred's sister Gertrude married Clinton Woods.
