Thanks, Tyler. Good to know it is still there, with cemeteries being robbed of their bronze items. My brother also sent some pictures that Ready Funeral Home sent to him. The flag holder was not in those pictures. Thanks again, have a great day! Judy

RE: Beverly Devine
Tyler, did you see a bronze U.S. Air Force medallion flag holder near my father's side of the stone? I noticed a flag sticking in the ground. His flag holder was there when we buried Mom in May, but I don't see it in your picture. Thanks again for all the work that you do and from one so young. May you always have this interest. Judy

RE: James Titus
Hi Tyler,

No, I don't know. I feel he was born around 1838-1843. His death, I believe, was in 1863 or possibly early 1864. I think he was weakened after being wounded at Gettysburg and then died of disease.

There are two James Titus' who served Vermont units in the war. A James M. Titus was in Company K, 1st Vermont Infantry and I tend to believe this is Fannie's brother, not the one I have her connected with. And, the 1st Vermont was at Gettysburg. Add to that, that they were in battle at Bristoe's Station against Union General Warren in September, 1863 - 2 months after Gettysburg. I can find no battle at a place called Warren Station, VA where fannie's brother reportedly died and think his death may have been at Bristoe's Station after doing battle with General Warren. I hae a book packed away that may tell me what unit Fannie's brother was in....I just don't know where it is!

I had hoped you might have the clue needed to solve this mystery!

RE: Beverly Devine
We had a great time at Lake Dunmore. Old Girl Scout lodge; housed our 12 with lots of room to not be on top of each other. Also 50th high school reunion for my husband in Bristol. My brother and I thank you again for telling us about the tombstone mistake. Look forward to seeing the revised stone. We also buried my mother-in-law during our visit, so was unable to go see my parents stone. Two mothers gone in six weeks time was hard on us. Thanks again, Judy

Stephen Hard or Harding
Thanks for take a photo of the headstone for Stephen Hard or Harding at Collins cemetery. My family records show Stephen Hard, Jr. died in 1850 in Ferrisburg, VT. I can't read the name on the photo you took. Is it possible that the last name is Hard, not Harding? The original entry was set up by a Sophie and I may have to make an inquiry with her.
Thanks,
Chuck Thompson
