Bio and Links
Bio Photo I've lived in Mississippi, Virginia, Pennsylvania, New Mexico, Louisiana, and traveled in many other states. I currently reside in west Texas. Genealogy research should be shared. Anyone who wants my pictures or information is welcome to it. I am grateful to those who unselfishly post their findings and pictures and share with others. My work is motivated by a desire to help others.
I also appreciate the team efforts of findagrave members-those who contribute pictures, obituaries, and family links. I don't mind death certificates on my postings. Not only is this site used to perpetuate the memory of loved ones, but it is also used to help others track their ancestors.

Dear Kathy,
Well, that wasn't too hard to figure out. I sure am glad I didn't have any older than this month.
While I am on Find A Grave every day, I don't usually go to my home page. I will have to start.
I do appreciate you letting me know about this.

Roy M Vansill
Good afternoon, I was doing research and came across this article about Roy Vansill. I searched his name on and found your page created for him. I don't know if you're related to him, have more info than i came across, etc. You posted that he died in service. To me, that sounded like he died at war. The article I found says he died in a car crash in Lone Grove, OK.
You can do whatever you want with this info, just thought you may be interested.

* There were several wars between the American Civil War and WW1, but the Spanish-American War (1898) was the only war which the US fought against a world power during that time. Between 1865 and 1898 the US fought several wars against the Plains Indians. And between 1898 and US entry into WW1 in 1917, the US fought the Filipino Insurrection, and it was one of eleven nations fighting in the Boxer Rebellion in 1900, and the Mexican Expedition in 1916. However, none of these were major conflicts.

John Coy Quarles

I noted you are a contributor to this memorial. Coy is my paternal granddaddy. It states you lived in Mississippi. Are you related to any Quarles? If so, how?
