I have been into genealogy and walking cemeteries since 2006. One side of my family comes from southern Iowa/Northern Missouri (Wayne County and Mercer County) via Pennsylvania (Hempfield, West Moorland). The other side from Norway to Bode in Humboldt County, Iowa. Those Norwegians are hard to figure out! I also have roots in Greene County and scattered around the state. I would be happy to go to any cemeteries in central Iowa when time permits, just let me know where and who I am looking for and I will get there as soon as I can. I am also willing to look up information needed on a person at the local libraries when I go. I keep a list of requests and will be happy to add more. |
If I have added a memorial for your family and that person is not in mine, I am willing to transfer.

THANK YOU ever so much for the photos of John and Anna Hoyer's grave markers. You take very clear and readable pictures and it is a great joy to me to get to see these stones.

Thank you for taking the photos of my great great grandmother's marker. I am in Oregon and probably will never make it to Iowa.

Thanks for the photos. I went back and read Sara's obit and she was buried next to her husband in the other Pleasant Hill. So I moved her back there. The rest of the family I assumed were at the same Pleasant Hill! Her grave was left unmarked obviously.

Betsy, thank you so much for giving me the correct cemetery. I made the change, you should be able to add the photo. Ray is my 2nd cousin once removed through his mom (Hoisington).
