|I became interested in tracing my family roots around Thanksgiving, 2004, when I found a handwritten family history (authored by my maternal grandmother) in my parents attic. I've been hooked ever since. My wife (Heidi) has since also become an addict. We are both related to early settlers of Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island.|

|RuppelDG&JA||Moses Johnson, born 5 Oct 1738 - Memorial #42646860.|
I left you a public message just a bit ago (maybe under or above this one) about a Memorial for Moses Johnson, born 5 Oct 1738, Holliston, MA; died Leicester, Vermont, but, didn't give you his Memorial #...it's 42646860.
Thank you for your attention given and help with this matter.
|RuppelDG&JA||Elizabeth Underwood was married to Moses A Johnson II - from Southborough, MA...not this Moses Johns|
I contacted you once before about this, but, never heard back from you. I feel this information is valuable and needs correcting, so, I am contacting you again about this issue...Elizabeth Underwood was "not" this Moses Johnson's wife (even though some books say so and other sites indicate it as it being so). I have seen an SAR (Sons of American Revolution) Membership Application that indicates that Elizabeth "Underwood" was married to a Moses A Johnson II, born 4 Apr 1728, Southborough, Worcester Co., Massachusetts. She belongs in that Moses' family, "not" the Moses Johnson that your Memorial (here) is for. Elizabeth Underwood, from Natick, MA, and the Moses "from Southborough" Johnson , born 4 Apr 1728, Southborough, MA, "did" get married 29 Jan 1752, Newton, MA, and had a son, Enoch Johnson & also son, Moses A. Johnson III, but, they are not related to the Moses Johnson that your Memorial (here) is for. The Moses A Johnson II's family members all lived in Southborough and Marlborough, MA. areas. Again, that Moses is who Elizabeth Underwood was married to. Many of that Moses A Johnson II's family members are buried at the "Old Burial Ground Cemetery" Southborough, Massachusetts. The Moses Jobnson that this Memorial (here) does reflect history, otherwise, for Moses Johnson who was born 5 Oct 1738 and died 17 Nov 1803. I am a relation of his. His parents are Moses I. Johnson & Sabillah Johnson. His wife's name happens to be Elizabeth, also. Unfortunately, the birth certs. for their children don't give her last name. I am still working on that mystery. Moses (this Memorial) & that Elizabeth (Last Name Unknown) had a son, Silas Johnson, born 3 Feb 1779, Dublin, Cheshire Co., New Hampshire & died in Vermont. Married Abigail "Nabby" Rhoades (my lineage). I just completed my Nat'l Daughters of the American Revolution Membership Application, including proof of lineage for Silas Johnson, who was proved to be the son of Moses Johnson your Memorial is for. The Moses, born 5 Oct 1738, that your Memorial is for, and Elizabeth "Unknown Last Name" also had several other children born in Dublin, New Hampshire, too. It was thought (through other books written) that Silas Johnson was Simeon Johnson's son (this Memorial's Moses Johnson brother), but, this is not the case. Silas's birth and death records reflect Moses Johnson and Elizabeth as his parents (Moses Johnson - here - born 5 Oct 1738, Holliston, MA & who died in Vermont.

I am working on cleaning up the list of memorials in the Sherburne West Hill Cemetery, Sherburne, NY with a few other contributors. Can you help? We are looking into possible duplicates listed in the Crumb family. Are you related? Do you have any info on this memorial's name. Is it Charles?
Thank you in advance.

I have made updates to both James Johnson's. Thank you for the info.

I see you are now the manager of Margaret Davis Bowen's memorial 47812048. There is a bio on it saying she is married to Esq. Henry Bowen. You wouldn't happen to know why he doesn't have a memorial? Notes in my files say he was buried on Woodstock Hill.
