I have worked on my family trees and others for over 30 years. My current interest is in Schoharie County NY history, more specifically the town of Summit where I live. I compiled, published and printed books on Schoharie County One Room Schoolhouses, The Schoharie Alps Town of Summit History, Murders and Funky Stuff in Schoharie County and Schoharie County Emergency Medical Services. If interested in purchasing any of them please let me know. My next book will be a compilation of Schoharie County Community Groups/Clubs/Lodges.|
I got started taking pics of grave stones in looking for Civil War Veterans monuments. Now I take pics of any grave stones with an emphasis on all Veterans.
My goal is to preserve any piece of history I can get my hands on, particularly in light of how much was lost in our area during Huricanes Irene & Lee.
You can also find my website at schohariehistorian.com.

Thank you so very much for all of your hard work in Fairland Cemetery. Finding the McNeil family there today was a high point of my year. And the photos of their markers are fantastic. I really appreciate your time and effort in recording this old cemetery. Your work was definitely not in vain!

I was planning to make profile entries for all interments at Jefferson Cemetery, but noticed your fine work has essentially beat me to the work. Thank you very much for completing this important and necessary task to better document the souls interred there at one of the Hamlet of Jefferson & Jefferson Township's first burial grounds. Find-A-Grave now holds the best online records relating to this cemetery thanks to your work.
And your emphasis of recording the burial sites of US Military Veterans is strongly commendable. Thank you very much for this caring effort.

Again, Karen, I need to extend my gratitude to you for posting yet another Schoharie County cemetery. It means so much to me, and is so helpful!! I think you might have helped me discover my maiden name roots in Schoharie County. I need to work on it some more, but I just had to tell you thank you. Have a great day. Lisa, Springfield, MO

Thank you for transferring John to my account. I also created a record for Lillie as she did not have an entry. Discovered Find A Grave can handle multiple marriages. Thanks again
