If you are related to someone I have entered I will gladly allow you to edit it or transfer it to you. If we are both related to the person, I would be interested in exchanging information so we can make the memorial as reflective of the person as possible.
If I have taken a photo, I may be able to send you a higher resolution photo than allowed on FindAGrave.
I have developed an interest in out of the way cemeteries and old, hard to read monuments. I find many are children and their gravestones may be the only information that exists regarding their short lives. I also take photos of stones that no longer contain information or perhaps never did. Someone thought enough of the people interred to mark their graves though circumstance prevented them from including any information on them or neglect or inferior materials prevented information from lasting.

Harvey - I have transferred the memorial to you! If I have any other Brocksmith/Brockschmidt entries you are related to, let me know and I will transfer them to you as well.
I am not related to the Brocksmith's so far as I know. But I am related to many other people in the Bethel Cememtery! My primary names are Kahre and Kixmiller/Kixmoeller. That's why I started working through the Bethel Church records to add them to Find A Grave.
And yes, my father confirms that German remained the primary language in that part of the community until WWI. The printed Bethel Church records confirm that the records themselves were in German until the 1920's.
Hello Harvey - I see that on Mar. 11 you added a memorial for Louis C. Brocksmith. However, on Feb. 17th, I added a memorial under Christian Ludwig Brockschmidt # 125283634 as per the church records. If you would, please remove your duplicate memorial. If you are related, let me know and I'll happily transfer the original memorial once you've deleted the duplicate. Otherwise, I'll be happy to add the alternate name of Louis C. Brocksmith to the original. Regards!

Thank you for your quick response.

|Richard ||Bridget McCollum|
Albert McCollum is my great grandfather. I found an obituary for him and it states he was the son of the late John and Bridget McCollum. It also states he had two sisters Mrs.Sarah Mapstone and Mrs John Gnuyder. According to the grave from Elbridge Rural Cemetery it shows Bridget was under 20 years old. I would like to find out her date of birth, maiden name or any other information about her. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

|GREENIE||Peggy (Margaret) Bell Lair Green family|
Harvey: Thanks for the work you've done on the cemetery for Peggy and her family. I am related to the ancestors of Peggy Bell Lair Green and her husband Daniel Green. Therefore, any Bell descendants of Peggy Bell's siblings (or her Lair daughter Elizabeth "Betsy" Lair, if there are any), would be blood related to the Daniel and Peggy Green family. Just saying, in case you have any information you might be interested in sharing of the Bell family of Indiana and where the remaining family members are now. Letitia Green, Charlottesville, VA (also known as "Greenie").
