Bio Photo =======================================
Remember to thank your photo volunteer! It's amazing the amount of people who don't say 'Thank You'. A volunteer uses their gas and time getting YOUR pictures. We go out in all types of weather conditions to search for your stones. We research on maps where they are located, find them, come home and edit them and then post them. It doesn't look like much just seeing your stone picture online but it took quite a bit to get it there! We do this as a favor to you, it's not expected of us just because we happen to live in the area that your stone is in. (Read message sent to me on April 12! My job, huh? hmmm) I've cut back considerably on getting people's stones. I know others that have as well. Why should we do all that and never get just a simple 'Thank You'!

Thanks so much to all the volunteers that have gotten my family stone pictures...I'd be lost without you! I know how difficult this can be.

THE PERFECT GRAVESTONE PICTURE

1) PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE NO dates or your name through the pictures. This is REALLY tacky!
They look awful and are SO unnecessary!! This is
about them, not us!

2) No chopped off around the sides. There should be 'outdoors' around all 4 sides. I want to see what the stone looks like!

3) The stone picture looks best if it's taken in front of the stone, not at an angle. A trick I use to keep my reflection off the stone: I stand behind another stone and use the zoom on the camera.

4) No 'postage stamp' sized pictures. Set your
camera to take regular sized pictures.

Let's honor our dead as best as we can by taking beautiful pictures. These pictures will most likely be the only ones on the internet for generations to come!

RE: Photo request for Louis Born
You can add it back if you want. I'll take a photo either way and post it. I wonder if there is anyone else buried there as it seems to be at least a 4 person plot.

RE: Photo request for Louis Born
My pleasure! I know there is no stone to the right of his wife (as I to dig hers out) but, based on the grave info, that's where he should be - not to the left of Elvera. Next time I go, I'll try to remember to take a photo that includes that, post it, and note that there is where he is buried. It will give a visual even if not the one we want. Who knows? If I dig deep enough, maybe I'll find a stone for him! At least today I figured that section out so I know exactly where to go!

Photo request for Louis Born
As I'm sure you will find out or will have already found out, I was able to fulfill your photo requsts for Elvira (on stone "Elvera") Parenteau and Anna Born at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Rochester, NY. Although I did not report a problem on Find A Grave, you might want to remove his name so other volunteers don't look for him at that location. I took a family plot photo and suspect he should be to the left of Elvera but there is no stone for him there. Perhaps because he was the last of the three to pass?

RE: William Peronto
My pleasure.. it's just strange that the cemetery would have fixed all 4. Leads me to believe they were all from the same plot. Maybe you'll discover some long-lost unknown ancestor.

The stone next to William is Mae L. Otis, 1872-1950. The one next to Mary is James Hendricks 1876-1957. Any relation?

RE: Bouck
Well, still trying to figure some out. I know my great grandmother Sarah and Henry (top right). I suppose that is her mother and father in front seated. Still researching all the old documents my mother has.

Markers photos
If you volunteer to take photos of the markers that are requested, it is your job to go to the office to find the location of that marker not us to call them!
