Bio Photo =======================================
I'm looking for these obits. If anyone can find them, I would so appreciate it.

Edward H. Snyder- died in Syracuse Nov 1986.
Agnes H. Snyder- died in Syracuse Feb 1983.
Helen Callaghan Martin- died in Syracuse Sept 1976.
Remember to thank your photo volunteer! It's amazing the amount of people who don't say 'Thank You'. A volunteer uses their gas and time getting YOUR pictures. We go out in all types of weather conditions to search for your stones. We research on maps where they are located, find them, come home and edit them and then post them. It doesn't look like much just seeing your stone picture online but it took quite a bit to get it there! We do this as a favor to you, it's not expected of us just because we happen to live in the area that your stone is in. I've cut back considerably on getting people's stones. I know others that have as well. Why should we do all that and never get just a simple 'Thank You'!
Thanks so much to all the volunteers that have gotten my family stone pictures...I'd be lost without you! I know how difficult this can be.

1) PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE NO dates or your name through the pictures. This is REALLY tacky!
They look awful and are SO unnecessary!! This is
about them, not us!

2) No chopped off around the sides. There should be 'outdoors' around all 4 sides. I want to see what the stone looks like!

3) The stone picture looks best if it's taken in front of the stone, not at an angle. A trick I use to keep my reflection off the stone: I stand behind another stone and use the zoom on the camera.

4) No 'postage stamp' sized pictures. Set your
camera to take regular sized pictures.

Let's honor our dead as best as we can by taking beautiful pictures. These pictures will most likely be the only ones on the internet for generations to come!

RE: Sister Dougherty
Your welcome, glad I could get the photo. The cemetery is quite accessible to the public, it is not difficult to find on the grounds, it is right off the main driveway to the convent. If you do go, the markers are set in long rows, and burials are by years, so just look for the year of death. The photo of Mary in front of the birch tree overlooks all the markers. I thought it was a lovely scene and decided to Include. Gerry

RE: Callaghans at Holy Se
Do you mean "bigger" as in poster size or 'bigger' meaning getting all of the church in the photo. Or both?

I go there just about every Sunday when the office is closed and no caretakers are around. They don't allow photography (especially by Find-A-Grave photographers) and I've been kicked out once already last year.

I will definitely take a peek inside next time but I don't expect to see anything, The windows are probably all stained glass. I'm still shocked that that is a family vault rather than a chapel. It just never occurred to me that that would be a private vault.

RE: Callaghans at Holy Se
Oh my! THAT church is the Callaghan family vault? I thought it was an old chapel for funeral services.

Go to

Look at the 4th and 5th photo down. Wait till you see it. This will more than make up for the Cusick-Martin plot.

I would love to get in there but they never would let me

Callaghans at Holy Se
Do you know if the Callaghan family vault is in Section B? I looked for a vault of some sort in section B, but there was only one above-ground vault and it wasn't for Callaghan.

RE: Martin-Cusick picture
You're very welcome. I was disappointed in not being able to post photos of the entire lot and of individual markers.. But I have found many large family plots that have no individual markers at all as if the family wanted everything kept private.
