My husband, Franklin, and I are history nuts and love grave hopping. We are also Civil War buffs. We welcome any questions.|
We will also help anyone with their genealogy searches in NC (Jordan, Hooks, Tetterton, Locke, Watson, Boone, Bost Klutts/Kluttz, Lentz, Lyerly, Redwine), NH, NY (Goodbread, Stock, Bruce, Frink, Milroy, Hickok, Schuler, Honeywell, Weatherwax), MA (Bruce, Dustin, Prentice, Barnes, Locke), ME(Shibles, Prentice) and NH (Shibles, Griffin, Prentice, Dustin, Priest). That is currently where we have ancestors.
If you feel you might be related, please contact us. We are trying to fill holes in our trees and would dearly love the assistance. Please feel free to copy any photos that we have placed. (please ask those who placed pictures for their permission.)
Thanks so much.

Hello again im not trying to pester you but I have found another copy of memorials in the lowerstone cemetery it seems that Johann Leonard Klutz Sr. 8729704 your memorial is a copy of another memorial here Johann Leonard Klotz Sr. I aslo responded to the other poster about this it seems he has the last name correct but the middle name misspelled the original Name according to Ralph Dean in his book of the entire Kotz family (which I have a copy) and other sources indicates that the name should be Johann Leonhard Klotz Sr.
Its a on going task to have these corrected but as i progress toward capturing the entire klotz family on this site and Acenstery.com were the Klotz/Kluttz/Klutz/Klutts/Clutts/Clutz family tree is being built. What makes it confusing is the name Klotz changed spellings as the family miragrated to other states here in north carolina it changed 3 different spellings as to when each family changed it is hard to determine but im fairly close to putting it down as to were it did change. As to this memorial and others it makes it confussing because of the name spelling and we all are posting the correct people but making copys of them by the name spelling.
Debbie im confused are the photos on moses klutts memorial of him or you GGG grandfather. I would like the photo to place on my family tree if they are of Moses Klutts.
Hello debbie was researching the Kluttz family history I ran across the family member Eva Trexler Kluttz 8730605 In The lowerstone Cemetery were a lot of my family are I saw that you have her as Kluttz her stone has Klutts and I noticed that someone has her also in the cemetery as klutts which makes two memorials the correct spelling of the last name should be Klutts even though it changes later in years to kluttz and it varies in spelling depending what state the folks migrated to. If you would release her to me I will correct all with both memorials and link her to the rest of the familys thanks.
Do not have a death date or burial for Mary Ann Rose Crankshaw. She was in Manlius, near Syracuse in 1830 census, so I expect she was NOT buried with Moses back in Schenectady. She may have been alive in 1840, but she is not in the census indexes. Possibly living with one of her children, or even remarried? Don't know. I am from Moses>Samuel>Hazael>Harvey>Clinton>me.
You are Moses>Jacob>Sarah>?

Do not have death date or burial place for Mary Ann Rose Crankshaw. She was in Jamesville, NY in 1830 census. Her eldest son, Samuel William Crankshaw b. 1797 was my line, brother of Jacob of the "Bruce" line. I have been to Johnstown and met some of the Crankshaws there and have worked on the history extensively. You must have seen Moses Crankshaw, husband of Mary Ann Rose, on findagrave that I put up. He died in 1813 and was buried in Schenectady. You can follow his links to Samuel>Hazael>Harvey>Clinton (my dad).

You might email Find A Grave and find out why. Or you can email the edit department and have them merge the two together. You can get the email address on the main section

Thank you for the info on Kriders, but you need to send me an edit for the memorial you are talking about. Sorry to say, but I am too busy to search for it. Thanks, kathy

Not to my knowledge. My Jordan line comes from Guildford and Davie Counties. They moved to Gaston form Idell in the 1870's. There could be a link from John Jordan and Diedra White Jordan 1807-1870). There were tales in the family that some of the brothers moved to SC but I have not been able to find that link. If you are related to the Louise or another there I would be glad to transfer.

Hi Debbie. It's been awhile since I contacted you, so I don't remember the exact message.
I think I was suggesting that you make a revision to the bio of the memorial for Sampson Sammons, adding 73 years, 10 months, 15 days, and also the two lines of epitaph that are visible, which read ""Mourn not for me beloved friend, Nor shake at death's alarm."
Yes, it is curious that there are two gravestones for him. I was happy to be able to visit the cemetery this summer, as he and Rachel are ancestors....or at least, I think they are :)
|Melissa C.||Israel Harris Honeywell|
Debbie, I am researching my Honeywell ancestry and came across your memorials for the Broadalbin-Mayfield Cemetery. You have Israel H Honeywell(1847 - 1912)(#8678883) linked as the son of John C Honeywell (1786 - 1859)(#8678904)and Nancy Sutton Honeywell (1786 - 1833)(#8678913). However, Israel's date of birth is 14 years after Nancy's death. Was he maybe John C.'s brother instead of his son? I'm hoping you may know since you are related to the family too! Thank you for all of your contributions to Find A Grave! Melissa
