| Bio and Links | | I live in Colorado and love to travel in the east, MA, CT and NY as many of my ancestors lived there. I have a habit of taking cemetery pictures where ever I travel just for fun. Maybe some day I'll get a few more pictures added to this fine site. Our genealogical society, Foothills Genealogical Society of Colorado, has done many cemeteries in our 4 county area of interest and put many of them on our web page. | |

 | Rachael Beatty Scoville-Penfield NY Liz,
Thank you so much for the information on Rachael. I will absolutely add it to her memorial. Some of the oral tradition for my Scoville family ancestry was incorrect and I was only able to straighten it out by following Rachael's husband. That was sure an exciting day when I was able to piece everything together.
Now, the Burdick name is in my collateral family too. A distant uncle, Samuel McClure Hinchey, married Patience Hart whose grandfather was George Burdick. If you have any connection to this family please let me know.
Again, thank you.

 | RE: Tiplady/ East Hebron cemeteries-Washington Co,. NY The cemetery must have been called a different name by people. I deleted the ones I had listed so they will not show up as duplicates. Thanks for the heads up. DannAdded by Dann on Mar 01, 2012 9:25 PM | | | john komar
 | Smith's at North Hebron Liz, Do you have the info on your family from the History of Washington County 1737-1878. Such as Aaron Smith moved from White Creek to North Hebron in 1772 and brought the first potatoes planted in North Hebron. Or David Whedon Jr. brother of Polly was the first child born in Hebron in 1771. | | | Linda and William S.
 | RE: Calkins & Leach Families Little by little, the pieces of the genealogical puzzle come together. There are a number of Rideout gravesites there, too., as well as Benjamin. | | | Linda and William S.
 | RE: Calkins & Leach Families Yes, we got Ray Leach's photo - who is L.E. Spurgeon, who was married to Chloe Armyn Leach? | | | Linda and William S.
 | RE: Calkins & Leach Families Linda, here. If you look on the "group photo"/family plot picture in each memorial, RAY C. LEACH is on the far left, and J. E. Leach is on the far right. They are IDENTICAL in shape and size; which can be rather confusing if you're not looking closely enough. I had to look twice, and double-check, (when I edited the photos and put them into the respective memorials), so that I didn't put Ray in where J.E. was supposed to be, and vice versa.
Out of curiousity: Where is the husband of Chloe Armyn Spurgeon buried? Except for she and Ray, everyone else on the plot has a partner.
And, where are the husbands of Effie Sherman Leach, and Elizabeth Sherman Given, buried? Are they in Union Cemetery, as well? | | | | [View all messages...] |
